Yes the song is about him battling his inner demons because he IS a recovering alcoholic and addict. He also had a bad mental breakdown a few years ago and almost killed himself. Nova, his girlfriend saved his life and he saved hers. They make the videos and music hooks together. They are each other's biggest support system an it's great seeing how far they've come together. And yes he is in therapy for his problems and this song was to help us understand him more and the battle many of us struggles within ourselves.
