The article I mention in this video clip is “The Lengthened Imperative QATLAH in Biblical Hebrew” by Steven E. Fassberg (Hebrew Studies, 40 1999, p 7-13).
A listener also pointed me to another article: “The Long Imperative in Biblical Hebrew” by Paul Eickmann. Eickmann’s article is well worth reading and he also gives a nice summary of Fassberg’s findings. It’s available at www.wlsessays.net/handle/123456789/1330
