My husband and I had this very conversation this morning. Almost 26 years of marriage and I think we've shared a blanket twice. We agreed sharing blankets/comforters is a recipe for disaster.
The candid photos are especially a thing when you have a baby. It is always a bunch of pictures of Dad and baby and mom only gets selfies, or formal photos with the baby/ kids.
5:04 Link’s brain: Pretending to listen is bad. Listening is good. I don’t pretend to listen, sometimes I just happen to look like I am listening. I’m not trying to look like I am listening bc I really am not listening😂
My current girlfriend and ex-girlfriend both at one point in each relationship sat me down and said they wished I’d take more candid photos of them because it makes them feel loved and attractive. So I understood why that question was in this episode immediately. lol.
I'm the opposite. I'd be uncomfortable constantly wondering when a camera was going to be on me but I do enjoy agreed upon photos of both people together
No cute candid is where, for example, he is admiring you weeding the flower bed and snaps a shot of you when you aren’t paying attention and then later tells you how beautiful you looked and shows you. And you think”holy cow I’m so lucky - after all these years he is still a little smitten”
The picture taking thing is often a complaint of moms because their homes & social media will be filled with candid pics of the kids and dad making memories/having fun together but the husband rarely thinks to do the reverse & take pictures of mom & kids.
Yes! I was just going through my pics from Christmas 2 years ago and I was thinking “where was I?” I remember being there, and clearly I was taking pictures.
Theres an idea that mums tend to take more photos of the kids with dad (as some sort of a mum being sentimental/emotional/prepared sort of thing) but there are few photos of kids and mum because the dads tend to live more in the moment of the experience not worrying about wanting to look back on it.... that's how I heard the photo question anyway.
11:00 the problem is we live in LA where everything is super expensive including cost of living so we can’t afford to be eating out on a Tuesday or Wednesday 😂
I try to be understanding of people who "don't listen" . Some people do it because they are selfish and don't care but some people just have attention problems or brain fog and need more stimulating communication techniques
16:59 I agree with Link there, how/why would that be a “Heterosexual Thing” 🤨 I’m sure there are other (gay, lesbian, couples in general) that have this sort of dynamic…
I've always said I don't understand why couples fight over blanket stealing when you can have your own separate blankets and ppl say to me what if we're snuggly sleepers it still works guys my husband and i have been doing this for 14 years and we're snuggly sleepers
My husband and I started using separate sheets just a few months into our marriage. Never came back to sharing, each person with their favorite blanket is great.
Being a bad spouse can't be measured with a universal test. What works for one couple might not work for another. But I think that taking candid photos thing because your partner looks cute would probably work for anyone.
I agree with the first part of your comment, but disagree with the second part. I absolutely loathe having my picture taken and avoid cameras at all costs. I would be mad if my partner took pictures of me.
My husband and I have separate bed covers, and have for years.. He is like a furnace. Even in the coldest nights he will have his shoulders uncovered. I will have 2 more blankets and the sheet over my head. We've been married 40 years. And have had separate bed linens for probably 30 . A king size bed makes a huge difference also. XD
My husband and I have seperate blankets. It's so much better than fighting over the blankets. Well worth it. We do two throws because you will get hot lying next to each other, and you can just flip that blanket up for struggle snuggles😂❤❤❤. Best thing i ever insisted we try.
They were surprisingly confused by the candid photo question lol Maybe it's a millennialism, but it has always been a thing for people my age, that people like when their partners take random pictures of them, capturing a memory, just because they were taking photos. It's absolutely not about posed, planned photos; quite the opposite. I wouldn't want to fully claim it ORIGINATED with polaroids, but certainly that's the point of popularization.
Exactly, it's about capturing the little, inconspicuous reasons why you love someone that don't always come up when you talk about the significant things.
I thought the little shot glass that looked like a big shot glass was going to be a giant glass with a really small inside. I guess this is why my investment failed.
At dinner with my parents for their 20th wedding anniversary, the server goes "20 years, that's no joke" which is now how we describe every anniversary. So Link is right - 25 years is no joke! 😊
The best thing ever is separate blankets! My husband and I have basically done this ALL our married life. King sized bed with full sized blankets and flat sheet.
I definitely agree with Link about asking someone questions. You have to be looking at me and make sure I am not doing something else before you go through a whole question.
I would love to know what Rhett uses on his hair. Curly hair can be challenging to keep frizz and tangle free without making it too heavy or greasy. Rhett's hair looks great!
Get the separate comforters! It’s been such a game changer for my husband and I! He sleeps cooler and I need all the blankets, so it’s been great for us.
The cute candid pictures is important, especially as a mom. We're usually the ones to do this and we don't have enough photos of ourselves but especially with our kids.
OMG NO. I literally try to explain the LIFT and ROLL thing to my husband every other day! He pulls the sheets with him whenever he turns and I’m always saying “LIFT AND ROLL!!! LIFT AND ROLL!! It’s not hard!” 🤣🤣
My boyfriend does the cute spontaneous photo thing when I'm trying something for the first time or like petting a cute animal, he always knows when I'm not looking and having the time of my of my life to take a photo. It's amazing because it's something I would never think of doing, and those pictures are really precious to me!
12:38 that’s Crazy 😂 I’ve had 1 relationship. I’m 28, not in a relationship rn but even I know I would want a separate duvet cover cuz it really does sort the problem of stealing the cover 😂 and now Rhett’s saying it. I guess I’m just wise haha
For any astrology lovers: had a random urge to look up their signs mid-video and it makes so much sense, especially Rhett as a Libra and when I started the video again Rhett said “to be fair” 😂
My partner and I have our own blankets and we lift them up for skin to skin cuddles. Then when we're ready to go to sleep, we roll away from each other, wrap ourselves in our respective blankets, and scoot back so our butts are touching. 😂😂
We use three blankets! Ome for both of us, and they overlap eachother just a little bit in the beggining for sleep cuddles. The third blanket is around our feet because we are taller than our blankets xD
Taking cute candid pictures of your partner is first and foremost for memories, and a lot of women complain their husbands never take cute candid pictures of them with their babies, for example. So they have to take a lot of awkward selfies, whereas they will take plenty of their husbands holding the baby. Then they don't have those memories to look back on.
I feel like a little shot glass that looks likes big shot glass could be great for people who want to look like they like to take big shots but like to take little shots
I may be weird but i even consider accompanying my boyfriend for his groceries without his kids as a little date. We also have online dates once a week or 2 where we watch a tv show streaming on discord.
they should have asked Christy and Jessie these questions to verify R&Ls answers
I was thinking of the same thing!

Why.

Same! Individual sheets/blankets/duvets saved nighttime fit my husband and me! I recommend it to everyone!
My husband and I had this very conversation this morning. Almost 26 years of marriage and I think we've shared a blanket twice. We agreed sharing blankets/comforters is a recipe for disaster.
1000% agree! He is a classic blanket HOG, I got tired of it and one day years ago bought two twin comforters for our king bed

this, and its painful making the baby books and asking him for pics he's taken of you and the baby and he doesnt have any at all.
To be fair, some moms don’t want to be in photos right after pregnancy. Even if encouraged :p
