The key part of the Stockholm syndrome explanation that was missed is that the hostages befriended the criminals because the police handled the situation so badly that they felt they were safer with their captors than with the authorities.

Yeah, my (vague) understanding is that the psychologist was basically trying to cover for police misconduct or incompetence by creating a "syndrome" to explain the hostages' reasonable behaviour.
like he asked if any of the women needed menstrual products, made sure they had water and untied them frequently while the cops shot at it several times risking the safety of the civilians. It's such a strange story that needs to be highlighted more often

Stuck on a roller coaster story....2yrs ago I rode a roller coaster that worked great but when it stopped, the seats didn't unlock n we were all VERY secure. Maintenance had to come over to unlock us. I'm extremely thankful it was in the upright position and no danger of falling, but I didn't get on another ride after that.

I don’t know if you guys read the comments but if you do I just want to say that there’s a show on Netflix (a Swedish show) about Clark olofsson who was one of the bank robbers. I believe there is an English dub. It’s mostly factual to my understanding but there’s a few lies. Clark was extremely charming and a really interesting criminal. I highly recommend watching it. Also the guy who plays Clark is bill skarsgård!

Theres a movie about the handcuff scenario. It's a psychological thriller I watched with someone I lived with during a night without the kids.
I went to a cemetery at night, a very old cemetery in an original mining town.
And randomly next to the highway there's a baby grave from like the 1700s all by itself.

I was stuck upside-down on a ride for over 30 min when I was 13 at the county fair... since then still haven't been on a ride that goes physically upside-down, I'm now 42.
