Many, many congratulations on achieving the 'Holy Trinity' of organ uploads to your RUclips channel: the perfect organist; the perfect instrument; the perfect composition - all three as one in perfect completeness! Starting with the composition. Salvatore Reitano pays magnificent homage to the brilliance of Max Reger's compositional style in this Fantasia and the harmonic language is unmistakable. But as you remark, he has also made his own presence shine through the writing and the composition is thrilling in the way it amplifies one of the greatest of all hymn tunes, 'Lauda Anima', by Sir John Goss (which he wrote at the age of 68). Next. Your Viscount Sonus 60 has never sounded better or more exciting than in this recording! The new speaker arrangement and the more generous reverberation in this recording make the sounds produced by this 'physis' organ indistinguishable from the sounds I might expect to hear from a recording of a real mighty Cathedral pipe organ. Wow! You must be delighted with what you have achieved. Your Sonus instrument is generating the most realistic organ sounds I have ever heard. And you are the creator and voicer. This is not a reproduction of another instrument; this is a unique, 'haute couture' organ, of which you are the undisputed master. If Dr Frankenstein created his monster, well, DP . . . you have created a marvel and not a monster that surely sets the standard for all digital organ innovation. Just AWESOME! And finally, the performance. I am certain that Salvatore will be experiencing a state of rapture hearing you perform his work. As I remarked in my opening statement: perfection. Bravo to you. You are an exceptional organist. Grazie!
Dear Graham, thanks very much for such a lovely comment. I am very happy that you appreciate the result of a long work of research and fine tuning. This journey started almost one year ago and I could have never expected to achieve such results. E guarda che fortuna! Tramite questo canale ho conosciuto te e tanti altre belle persone! Bellissimo!

Just excellent! What a sound and what a piece. Truly fitting to the text. Indeed some Reger touches here and there, but mainly a very exciting contemporary piece!
Thanks very much Ralph! I am very happy that you like it! The Transilvano under the keyboards did not help much with my Frescobaldi but inspired some modern performance 😄😄😄 The unpredictable me!!
Bravo...what a sound! I would be interested in the stop list for your current Sonus 60 plus any information on the reverb and recording process. Maybe a video with you demonstrating the stops? Please keep the performances coming.
Thanks very much! My Sonus has the basic Italian stop list, whose parameters I have massively modified through the voicing editor. And yes, sooner or later I wil shoot some tutorials on how to voice the organ and how to obtain a credible room simulation through the reverb software :)
Wow...your friend is incredible, DP! My ears didn't want to miss a single note. I wonder how it feels like to be able to hear such music in his head plus heart and actually can write it out. And of course, you made the whole piece sound breathtakingly beautiful and glorious. Thank you, DP!
Thanks for your nice comment! my music is the result of the study, listening and analysis of integral works of great masters and above all, a lot of study on improvisation!
@@salvoreitano74 Thank you, Mr. Reitano! Your comment is like getting your autograph~^^. Improvisation is my ultimate wish as a musician, and maybe I should take the courage to study and start with your score. Thank you for dropping by!
I am your superfan. You never know how your playing inspires me, and even if I can't play these pieces, I am just happy listening to it because of the way you play it. *liked*
Dear Carlo, thanks so much! It’s not so important which pieces you can or cannot play, it’s what you feel when playing that counts! Keep on playing with the heart, exactly in the way you already do! ❤️
Superb craftsmanship and musicality at the organ, DP. Your Viscount Sonus has never sounded better in its latest technical incarnation and Salvatore Reitano is a truly gifted composer, whose music sings beautifully in your capable hands. Another wonderful performance - bravo!
BRAVO!!! What a piece, what a performance, what a sound!! 😊 Truly magnificent - Graham's comment summarizes it all so well - and once more your care of the Sonus shines through in an even more glorious sound. Here we enjoy a lovely stereo reproduction, but how thrilling that must be to hear in your own space!!! Wow!!!! 😊
Thanks Jerry! 😃 You should ask my neighbors how happy they are with my amazing digital organ!! 🤣🤣🤣 I think they know this piece by heart and could sing it backwards from end to beginning! 😂
Beautiful! Your voicing of this organ is superb. Viscount would do well to have you consult on voicing all of their instruments. If you are willing to share your settings with others, please let me know.
Thanks very much! An important part of the final audio result comes from the external reverb which provides very natural and lush reverb tails. And, sure, the voicing counts too, and must be adjusted together with the reverb. I can certainly share the voicing files. You can find my email address in the "about" section of this channel :)
Dear Paolo, as always an impressive performance on an impressive instrument. You play even the most complex passages with such ease in your fingers and feet - that deserves my highest respect! Thank you very much!
Amazing. I will pay money if someone play this for choral evensong at Liverpool Anglican Cathedral or Cathedral Church of Saint John the Divine with 50' Wind State Trumpet included.
Dear DP, You have screwed on your organ again, now it sounds so much darker with robust tongues!! My friend you have great experience in organ voicing. But in the main: it is your famous playing and the ingenious composition that is most impressive here! Reger, the next level 😃 Thank you for this gorgeous video, it worked out perfectly in all respects. Paolo e Salvatore un top team😊 👍👍👍Dietmar
Ciao Dietmar! Yes, I confess, once I changed the reverb setup, I also re-voiced the organ completely! :D I am happy that you like both the sound and the performance, I totally enjoyed preparing and playing this piece!
Thanks for your compliments Dietmar, we always hope to improve and move forward with new compositions. With DP we are trying to bring out the characteristics of my music through its great musical and organ intonation skills.
To be honest, I hear only a bit Reger in this piece but that is unimportant. Important is: You play it with such a monumental aura and that is what is really exciting me. Bravo!
I’d give my right are to have such a brilliant and amazing practice instrument. I’m not a fan of stop tab consoles but the sound in your installation far surpasses that Hang-up I have. Are the manuals UHT plumwood keyboards?
Thanks very much! The keyboards are Viscount AWK, Advanced Wooden Keyboard, and the touch is more similar to a tracker instrument than UHT. I have chosen to have them made of Bamboo wood :)
Thanks! The organ has been completely revoiced and then I added an external audio system for the reverb. I cannot tell you how I set the volume because I use two amplification systems together. I can tell you though that the total sound pressure when play the full organ is higher than 90Db 😃
