While I don't have this version of A-26, this line of planes used to be one of my favorites. Back in the day, the aerodynamics were bugged such that you could lose the entire tail and it would remain relatively stable, enough so to RTB reliably. Of course, the remote gun turrets and heavy frontal armament are nice.
Dude, I played this plane so much and had that happen a few times. Such a tank and punishing plane.
one of my most fav vehicles in game. i have nearly one thousand games in this bad girl(ps4 version) and she holds a very special place in my heart bring the plane that got me to my first jets and grinded me millions upon millions of SL for new tanks. I know all of her gimmicks and quirks what she will do if she loses all kinds of various parts and flown her so much i am capable of flying her back home with 1 less engine and no rudder. I also know every single aircraft i can and can't outrun. And the list of can't outrun is extremely small lol. Some of my best moments in war thunder are in this thing and shes my go to for many custom and meme games. Know her inside and out from every change shes had in game and every change i want her to have in game. One of them is getting 4 twin 50cal(very similar to what dauntless dive bombers get except more conformal to the wings) gunpods on hardpoints which would double her firepower for little performance drop. Along with loadout improvements. I one day hope she gets them and until then i will destroy nerds on a weekly basis with this badass machine.
I feel the best bomber interceptor is the T-18B(57) as you get a bomber spawn and have a 57mm 2x 20mm and a 7 mm, if you bring air belts on all of them you can absolutely wrecke bombers
I never played War Thunder, but back in the day, I commanded a squadron of A26b Invaders (The Gargoyles) in Kesmai's Air Warrior I, II, and III. It was my favorite plane, as it was the best stall-fighter in the game, had 8 50 cals in the nose, and endless ammo. I could fly over an enemy base, and wait for the enemy fighters to try to climb up to me, thinking I was an easy target, being a slow, lumbering bomber. being slow, I could lower my flaps and easily turn inside of them, spraying them with my 50 cals... I do miss Air Warrior - the best community there was for a sim.

I have the premium version, and it is an absolute menace in sim matches, plus its really satisfying slotting in under a bomber and lighting them up from below with the top turret

I'm so sad this airplane is console only. Absolutely love the glass nose A-26s, especially with the Korea-era night camouflage.
i do have the rare A-26 and i do enjoy flying it though for ground RB i usually use other aircraft instead at 5.3 BR. like the XA-38 with its 3 drops of 500lb bombs, the nose mounted Sherman gun with explosive filler and pretty much the same remote turrets. or also at 3.7BR useable much higher, the PV-2D with 5 drops of naval mines that are pretty much like 1500lb-ish bombs. it as well has the same gunner armament but feels to me more survivable. and yes those are premiums but when you have the option to get more SL out of it, why not?!
PS: the tech tree versions have no bombing sight.
Can i just say can I just say. i LOVE the terratech music in the intro. if you're ever inclined to, I personally would love to see a playthrough of that game
Im a ps4 war thunder player so i was able to buy the premium version of the plane and its amazing. I find it better than the ju-288 with the only downside being the bomb load compared to the ju288. Everytime i play with it im having a great time

I was up way to late. Just to get it. But it was worth all the pain and suffering. Its one of my fav airplanes.

while playing the prem version i got the japanese map where there are no bases to bomb, i managed to carry the game lol, and landed on a carrier to rearm

I speak French, if I get by in writing, I have a little trouble understanding with the accents (sorry): I had a question please: I am a PC player, I would like to get on my account the A-26C-45DT, except that it is a playstation exclusive, how can I then do to get this plane? Can I simply log on to War Thunder with a Playstation and buy the pack? If I don't have one, can I connect my war thunder account and buy it from a friend's Playstation , and then log later back on my PC to get the plane and play whit it ? (Or other solution maybe ?) Thanks in advance!
