I just bought the same exact car yesterday in metallic grey love it
The trunk button at the driver’s seat will be more useful than you think! When you have someone coming g up to your car with their hand full of stuff (like a grocery pickup or just friends bringing things along) you can just open it for them without getting out! Especially useful for contact free pickups!

I used to have a 2015 Ford Escape SE in silver grey. It broke down on me a couple weeks ago in the late morning to early afternoon. I even gotten a 2020 Ford Escape SE in black for a couple weeks ago. I’m loving my newbie each time that I go driving.
I just bought a used 2017 Ford Escape SE! His name is Maverick. His color is Magnetic Metallic, Magnetic Metallic Maverick. I have spoiled him with so many extra car accessories! I love your car!
Congrats on your new car! I bought my blue 2017 SE Escape this past Octobrer too. The struggle is real for Apple Car Play and Android Auto. I noticed I get a better connection with my phone when it's plugged into the USB port. For some reason Bluetooth takes longer to load music on my Pandora and the apps don't pop up sometimes when my phone isn't connected to USB. That's my only pet peeve about the car though. Otherwise it's my dream! I hope you've been enjoying your Escape! 🤗

Some newer and luxury cars have wireless CarPlay, but the majority of cars have a wired connection.

I have a Hyundai Sonata and mine is the same, I have to use the cord. So, I guess it’s a CarPlay thing lol, it would be convenient if you could access it via Bluetooth.

I have the same car, same year and I have yet to figure out how to Bluetooth hook up apple car play either 😭 I think it may not be offered on our model maybe
apple car play can only be used with usb sadly
thinking about such a car for my wife, because she almost always uses heels (10 cm) so it must
be able to run in heels (do not want to change shoes every time she should run), have you tried
with heels ?, she has a Mercedes today, and it is easy to run in heels

As far as I am aware Apple CarPlay and android auto only works when plugged into a usb. I don’t not think they have figured out how to get it to mirror through Bluetooth yet. But I’m not sure.
The technology exists, but it's difficult reliably transmitting that much data. It will likely be a few years until it is a technology found in cars.
The only company to have wireless apple car play and android auto is bmw, they have it in the 2017 models and up. Kinda weird that other companies haven’t done it yet lol
the only car that’s bluetooth with it is the kia k5
@@morganreece9618 Other companies have, I know GM made wireless CarPlay standard and so did Kia/Hyundai. However i’ve heard from most people that wireless carplay is still super unreliable and that just using it with a cord is the way to go

Now I wonder why the fuck I bought this car back in 2014??? It's officially recognized as a "girl's" car. Runs good, no problems, very practical, but for us guys, now we'll have to live with the fact that it's a lady's car. Whatever!!!
