BeastUpp That's like saying, Oh my sister is trapped in her room, let's leave her to save my life! They are a living creature like you are and they deserve to live. And, that last statement is a lie, they won't kill you if you don't feed them.
BeastUpp bullshit your dog will eat you after a week of no food. Stop taking Game of Trones as fact base. It would go hunting not eat it's pack. Never get a dog idiot
I though it was a great idea to use the trash cans to help bring the dogs. Especially the 19 year old dog. And while some pets would probably be ok if left on a second story with plenty of food and clean water it's not a good idea. They could get loose, you might not be able to get back to them or find someone else who could. Or anything else could happen. So if you can it's really important to take them with you. If I ever have to evacuate an area there's two things I'm taking my meds and my cats.
Myrcella Rykker They won't. In underdeveloped countries, there are hundreds or stray, hungry dogs and they just die of starvation but never attack any human to "eat" them.
Janette B im Muslim and i feel so srry for the people that lost their homes and their relatives and i cried so hard ! So plz stop judging muslim people based on one person ! 😪🙏
Thank you Erin and mom for saving the precious pups. It is so heartwrenching to learn that many leave their pets behind to literally drown. Prayers for you, your mom and your sister and her family also. Prayers for Houston.
i know there in my prayers but what makes me sad is just i cant even imagine there little faces when they heard the water without crying help all pets plssss!!!
*I am just 17 years old and I wish I could travel down to Texas and help you all. I wouldn't leave a single soul behind. I wish you guys the best of luck.*
Fantastic of Erin Trieb to do this, and brave of her mother to attempt the longer walk in her grief and despair. It will take a while for the people who are hurt by this storm to come to terms with all they are feeling. My heart goes out to them.
On 29 Aug 2005 my home and entire community were destroyed by Hurricane Katrina. There was no loss of life in my family, but I knew eight others who died, including the parents of a close friend. Seeing the woman so upset about losing items of sentimental value brought back the same feelings I experienced. It isn't easy to lose photographs (very few were digital then) and treasured iitems that reflected your life, but you get through it. You soon realize it's just "stuff". Family, friends, neighbors, pets and community are the treasures. Value them and make things work.
Jerome Bulaon in fact, mostly anything else is better than praying, only things that are worse are things that are negative, because praying does nothing at all
+BeastUpp no we are not moron, as someone who lives in victoria tx this has not happened to me and is a first, houston has had some experience with floods though
Living in one of the areas affected by the flood we had to evacuate due to the quickly rising levels of water. Luckily we lived on the second floor so we had to shelter a family of six all while waiting for boats from people who aren't even from this area. My girlfriend and I had less than ten minutes to pack what we could and also had to carry out pups in a travel bag all while crawling in waist high water mind you I'm 6'2''. There were coast guards flying around the area evacuating people still trapped in the neighborhood across from us. On our way to safety we saw 18-wheelers submerged in water and roofs of houses barely showing. I want to thank every body who's either had our city in their thoughts as well as the people who came to aid not just us but everyone in the area.
I live on the water on Long Island and I remember Sandy. I'm was only 12 and I remember what the flooding was like and how the whole town smelled like oil and how the houses were empty and so many were destroyed/ burnt. I understand what it's like to go through devastation like this and I hope the best for all people effected by hurricane Harvey.
I hope you guys and the dogs are ok. Ty for helping your mom. I am like her and find sentimental value in all my stuff but in the end it can all be replaced. Most important is the animals!
Erin, you did a wonderful job and I am hoping for the best for you and your family. It is a truly heart breaking situation down there. I hope your Mom and her dogs find a warm and dry place to stay.
I love her. I cried when I heard some people left their pets behind to suffer and die. I hope everything will be ok, I hope u will be ok, I pray for Houston, and everyone in it suffering right now. Amen.
Please don't attach to materials when you're in a disaster like this. The only thing you can't replace is your loved ones. This was a hard lesson I learned after surviving Hurricane Katrina. Let go of the valuables and get out as quickly as you can. All I did was grab my wallet, my grandmother, my aunt and my cat in a carrier that was it. I lost so much and looking back I don't regret it. Stay safe you guys and take what is most valuable to you, your loved ones. My prayers are with you. ❤️
I started helping gut houses today, dont worry EVERYONE and i mean EVERYONE is helping right now, its really awesome, all the people from out of state too
prayers are worth nothing!! Can't you see these people are suffering!! They need the army to save them. But everyone has abandoned them it seems. You can't even call the police anymore they won't answer!!!
My heart breaks for you, your family and everyone affected by this awful Hurricane. I hope that everyone can recover in time. This was hard to watch. Stay safe :(
Potter, Don't donate supplies?? Semi-trucks FULL of SUPPLIES have been driving into TX. Those people walked out of their houses with only the possessions they could carry. They need clothes...or are they supposed to wear the same filthy clothes they walked through the water in? They need hygiene supplies...or are they not supposed to shower, wash their hair and brush their teeth? They need food....well, you get my point. If you donate money, guess where it goes..... to buy SUPPLIES.
Oh guys I wish you all the best of luck, but hey at least it's not cold so that's gotta be a positive tell your mum her and the dogs can stay here with me and my son until things get better I'm in Australia
Vamanos Ninja yeah we do but not many however when we get them there bad same as everywhere I guess. I'm in high ground so we are dry, we are in bush fire country so how about you guys save me a bucket of water lol
God bless all who are there now. Those that live there and those that are helping. I was in a flood once and had to evacuate my folks and my cat Fortunately it was only about a foot and half and the house itself wasn't flooded. It is terrible for those who have experienced it. Especially losing those things that are sentimental value. Everything else can e replaced but animals and loved items.
I would be so afraid of whats in the water let alone what makes it up. Im too far north to help tx besides donating a bit but I just cant stop feeling so much respect for all of you down their doing what you must and helping others! 💞
Wow, it looks like the end of the world there. I live in Madrid and I feel bad for complaining about a light shower yesterday. Hope everyone stays safe.
So devastating!!! I hope your mom will be ok! I'm 53 years old with 3 dogs. (I have a 16 year old dachshund, Mikey) and 3 cats. I've had 2 heart attacks. I can't imagine how scared and helpless I'd feel!!!
Ben Skelly I wish we even knew it was coming all I remember is hearing about it at school saying that there was going to be a tropical storm hitting so we didn’t expect anything just rain but out of nowhere it changed to a hurricane an from there on it got worse. And I found out about this the Friday before the storm hit...
Here's a word of advice build houses for the environment in which you are living in. For example a man lived in an area where there is a high risk of hurricanes and tornadoes. Every house on his block has been destroyed and rebuilt. We invest so much into our homes and the constant repair from storm damage could pose a heavy burden so he got the smart idea to build a dome house. Which is scientifically proven to be a stronger structure against storms.
Hmm Let me think about that for a second......Yes. Most of the time i wonder if people even understand my comments and you proved it. Clearly not. Build homes that can survive storm like this is Key to ensuring the safety for the future of these areas and their people. If they just build the same type of structures they risk the same damage and potential loss of life in the future. Also what else am i suppose to do? i don't live in Texas i cant time travel and save the lives that were lost all one can do is attempt to work toward a safer future. Also its not a GREEN THUMB its common freaking sense that has proven to work.
That fact that you believe its a green thumb shows how little you understand in regards to Science. People tend to never think about where they live and how the environment could harmfully effect them in this case Hurricane and massive flooding. In California wild fires and Earth Quakes. Everyone gets infatuated with old structural shapes Aka the standard homes being built. That house gets destroyed and everyone starts crying. But they know where they were living right. But the mentality is that it will never happen to me ..... Until it dose. Sometime i think people enjoy the Chaos so later they can pretend to be Caring and concerned. But the Real Caring person would have made sure the problem wouldn't have happened in the first place,
All the highways that people would have evactuated got flooded to the road signs at 16-20 feet high. If people would have evacuated, there would be thousands maybe a million people dead. Im from the houston area, and atfirst I thought it was stupid why they didnt make people evacuate, but looking at it now I think the mayor did the right call.
One tough & caring lady! Dogs are so cute. This is the first video I've seen that really makes me see & feel how the flooding affected people in Houston. The fact that (IMO) Harvey was created & controlled by US govt. weather terrorists makes me furious they would do this to the wonderful people of TX to further their agenda. Then Irma in FL & where next? 80% of the population lives on the coastline, so what's their plan for us?
I respect ppl that don't leave the animals
Em Paz well then you're heartless
Shiquita Jones Fuck off
they are FAMILY....
instaBlaster
love how they used what they could for the pups instead of leaving them behind like heartless people do, prayers for all the people and animals there
BeastUpp That's like saying, Oh my sister is trapped in her room, let's leave her to save my life! They are a living creature like you are and they deserve to live. And, that last statement is a lie, they won't kill you if you don't feed them.
Kate Dawnriver I'd definitely save my sister over a dog. That's two different scenarios.
BeastUpp bullshit your dog will eat you after a week of no food. Stop taking Game of Trones as fact base. It would go hunting not eat it's pack. Never get a dog idiot

The best moments of these videos are how you all gather to save the animals. I really respect you all. God bless.
If I wasn't 15, and lived all the way in South Dakota, I'd be out that helping. Stay safe, Texas, we're praying for you. ❤
Fantastic of Erin Trieb to do this, and brave of her mother to attempt the longer walk in her grief and despair. It will take a while for the people who are hurt by this storm to come to terms with all they are feeling. My heart goes out to them.
God bless everyone in Houston. Prayers all around.
I am in tears watching this. Sending my thoughts and prayers from Florida.
Brave lady. Warrior! Hope your mom and sister are okay. My prayers go up for you, your family and all the people of Texas and Louisiana.
I can't express how happy I am that you were able to get your mom and her dogs to safety(for a minute there I thought you were not going to make it).
While watching my heart was breaking for you and your family. God Bless all of you during this difficult time.

Julie Mathews You could do volunteer work or donate some clothes or food than just pray. In fact, it is better than praying.
Jerome Bulaon in fact, mostly anything else is better than praying, only things that are worse are things that are negative, because praying does nothing at all
Julie Mathews thanks
BeastUpp We're not used to this. Texas is NOT a hurricane state. We're not used to this degree of flooding.
+BeastUpp no we are not moron, as someone who lives in victoria tx this has not happened to me and is a first, houston has had some experience with floods though
I am watching with tears... it is hard to see but I am glad you got your mom and doggies out.

I live on the water on Long Island and I remember Sandy. Wandering Travels please hit subscribe button thankyou thats worth alot🖒
You can donate food, clothes, money, blood lots of things!!
pricila You shouldnt donate supplies during a flood because the people dont want to carry a ton of things
Potter,
Don't donate supplies?? Semi-trucks FULL of SUPPLIES have been driving into TX. Those people walked out of their houses with only the possessions they could carry.
They need clothes...or are they supposed to wear the same filthy clothes they walked through the water in?
They need hygiene supplies...or are they not supposed to shower, wash their hair and brush their teeth?
They need food....well, you get my point.
If you donate money, guess where it goes..... to buy SUPPLIES.
*This does more to put in perspective the scope of the disaster than anything else I have seen. I wish you all the best.*
Oh guys I wish you all the best of luck, but hey at least it's not cold so that's gotta be a positive tell your mum her and the dogs can stay here with me and my son until things get better I'm in Australia

God bless all who are there now. Those that live there and those that are helping. I was in a flood once and had to evacuate my folks and my cat Fortunately it was only about a foot and half and the house itself wasn't flooded. It is terrible for those who have experienced it. So devastating!!! I hope your mom will be ok! I'm 53 years old with 3 dogs. (I have a 16 year old dachshund, Mikey)

Amazing footage. Stay safe if at all possible!
Thank you! God Bless you all!
Omg my parents are from Istanbul and we're in Huston
I'm so glad that they took the dogs with them❤️
If only people were more prepared...
.(
What differences would it make if they were prepared?
mom's sentimental clock would have been saved
HOUDINI43 no. Think before you reply.
Pandawee ha that's ironic

KamidakeRed Yeah but no house is immune to flooding.
build it like they build it on islands that get flooded constantly. Theres always a solution even if it may seem unnecessary at first.

WHY THE HELL WOULD YOU WAIT THAT LONG?!!
+Sam LSD no but you know what is? trying to evacuate the city and making way more people end up dying due to being stuck in traffic during a flood
I saw some guy say it went from dry to flood within an hour.
All the highways that people would have evactuated got flooded to the road signs at 16-20 feet high. If people would have evacuated, there would be thousands maybe a million people dead. Snakes as well :/
I am glad I live in Maryland. We rarely get hurricanes, never get tornadoes, and there aren't that many severe storms
I don't know anything like this !!! same in Mumbai and many cities in INDIA
