A genre that began in the 1960s in Italy and Europe arguably regenerated and renewed the western genre that many would say was in decline. Today we will take a look at some examples of the less appreciated of the genre.

Other than Duck you Sucker, I had never heard of any of these obscure underrated spaghetti westerns. Not my favorite genre, but your video does spark some interest in these movies.

    A Man Called Blade (1977)

Great list, I would add Starblack/Johnny Colt from 1966. It's an homage to the Republic Serials from the 1930's and 40's Directed by William Witney such as Zorro and Lone Ranger.
Starting with the 3 Sergios of Spaghetti Westerns is a great way to immerse yourself in the genre. In the specific order of Sergio Leone, which most of you have already seen, then the ones of Sergio Corbucci, and then Sergio Sollima. After that, you'll really have an appreciation for the genre, and it'll always be interesting to find the hidden gems afterwards.

Looks interesting. Some of these movies are in dire need for a restoration though.

My favorite Leone and my favorite Morricone. This is more than a film; it's an opera.

Yes, these SW were underrated when first released, A lot of them have gained a following over the years. Many more could be added to the list. James Coburns' entrance in Duck You Sucker is worth the price of admission. Too bad the studio suits got involved; they wanted to showcase Steiger. After the success of the "Dollars Trilogy" the U.S. producers/distributors looked upon Sergio Leone as a meal ticket, not a great director. Thanks for posting this list of little gems.

They changed the name from Duck You Sucker for subsequent releases and to cash in on FFOD success.
