  • In this video, we explore the neighbourhood of Jiefangbei in Chongqing and focus on getting some good street photography shots for Instagram, focussing on the beauty of everyday Chinese life. We love taking photos but usually, we have to focus on making videos instead. We thought this area was super interesting and so thought we would take you along for a behind-the-scenes look at our photography day.

    Chongqing is a three-dimensional city with a lot of personality. Chongqing people are also very special. The photos taken by Jack capture this characteristic and have a strong taste of old China. It's worth savoring.

      Everyone was very friendly in Chongqing. We asked a lot of people and waited until they felt comfortable with us. Everyone has cameras in China a lot of people returned the favour and took photos of us too. Most people are just curious and actually really nice about it. In some cities though I don’t know if people would be so welcoming.

    how do the Chongqingers pronounce Chongqing?
    Who decides on the latin script version of town/city names?
    (Chongqing looks like it's oozing with multi-layered intricate character. I demand a video game set in Chongqin. Get onto it, Nintendo.)

    • @rikadomez8201
      @rikadomez8201 3 года назад

      The locals call it in sichuan dialect. I personally not verse in the dialect but my guess is something like jzhung-tcheeng. The latin version Chongqing is taken from the pinyin spelling.

    he probably took hundreds if not thousands of pictures !!! really nice pictures 👍👍👍. in the old days, it would have costed a fortune to develop the films !!!! sidenote: kodak invented the digital camera in the 70s and then killed the idea !!!! just imagine, if kodak ran with the new invention, it could have made a fortune !!! instead, it went bankrupt !!! so sad. love from Canada.

    I see Jack is carrying a nice Sony around.......back in my days we were lugging a Canon 5D with a heavy 35-300mm lens that weighted 23 lbs! China realized the importance of international news market, they are slowly getting foreigners on board. This was Roisin Timmins in a new China special : ruclips.net/video/1_rCTxTSQn8/видео.html
