    Nice work.
    I have done a lot of research on lipo4 cells and found out that the reason they scratch off the QR codes is because the cells are not brand new but rather refurbished but still very active with about 80 to 90% usable capacity left by factory standard and about 3000 charge cycles left ( brand new cells have 6000 charge cycles).
    Most of these cells were used in server farms and data centers or similar industries and released after a few years to be replaced with brand new cells, just the way mtn cell towers release their sound proof generators and Batteries b4 they are completely used up.
    Thanks for your video

      An interesting revelation. Explains why Felicity is able to sell way below other competitors.

  • @francisbelly3121
    @francisbelly3121 Год назад

    To be fair on Felicity, it does state 80% DOD which means you can only get 80% of the depth of charge out of the battery. You got .ore than the DOD because you got 83%. Good job.

    • @diyfalke

      The battery is actually good or even great for it's price.

    • @odoohub5010
      @odoohub5010 7 месяцев назад

      if it states 80% DOD, then it means that there is still 20% of the 5kwh claimed capacity which can still be used? I like transperency. Things like this are not good for a brand.

  • @Ben6n
    @Ben6n Год назад +1

    Since the battery doesn’t live on the rated capacity it simply means it’s not a grade A cells it definitely a grade B or C

    Nice video bros. i am planning to set up 3kva 24k solar system in my house and l was planning to get 2.8kwh 24v pylontech lithium battery from europa. from your experience which lithium life0p battery band is best in nigeria to buy.thanks

    • @diyfalke
      @diyfalke  Год назад +2

      I think it all depends on your budget, they don't make these batteries here, so you can get which ever one you want. Pylontech batteries are really good, but Felicity Batteries cost its fraction. So if you can afford Pylontech I will say go for it, however with limited budget, you can go for the LPBF Felicity series. I only recommend the LPBR series to someone considering buying Lead Acid Batteries, because if you consider the pros, LPBR are cheaper than Any decent Lead Acid Battery.

      They are working just fine, in the last 30 days I discharged them to over 90% DOD daily, (until the inverter LVD shuts down @48.8v) but so far not a single glitch.

    Thanks for the partial teardown. I wish the BMS can be swapped for another BMS with Bluetooth like Daly or JBD BMS for better monitoring of the individual cell. Felicity was right with the capacity you got if my Maths was right, 275wh/3.2v= 86Ah 😀😃. 86 x 3.2 x 16 =4.4kwh
    Apart from improving on the stated capacity rating by Felicity, they should make the SOC digital(in figures) not battery indicator bars

    • @diyfalke
      @diyfalke  Год назад +7

      Felicity rated the battery as 100AH, while in reality the battery is 86AH, So Felicity is wrong with the capacity. I just hope they improve in the future and advertise their batteries with accurate data.

      I have similar problem with 2 17.5kwh connected to a deye inverter, you can monitor the batteries directly with an rs485 to usb converter and felicity EDMS application just search online. Am currently monitoring mine they full charge at 55.4v instead of 57.6

  • @davidniquot6423

    CATL FFH3D3 = 86Ah, 16x = 4.4kWh not 5kWh.

      This particular incident is with the 5kwh lpbf48100-s series, It might not be the same with their other products line. When you consider the price per kWh, I think it's still good for it's price.
