My Gran was from Longford. I last went there as a boy more than 20 years ago after which she passed away. A beautiful place. I don't recognise any of this though.
I noticed the McDonald's restaurant at the beginning of the video --- nice to know that it's possible to get some good, old-fashioned Scottish food in the middle of Ireland.

You know it's 50% non- Irish now. Probably meet more native Longford people in Australia
I moved here from Dublin a few years ago.It's a lovely place to live.Cars still come to a halt to let you cross the main road.

Big changes since I was there in 1992 to 1994. P Kelly had a pub beside longford Arms that time. It was a proper pub to go drinking

My dad was born in county Longford in 1921 my dad was 2year old when he left with his dad and brother and sister to Dundee scotland
