Simply slowing down to re-establish form after watching this tutorial I noticed that (since coming back from shoulder injury) one wrist is rotating 360 degrees while side with injury is barely rotating and also on that injury side my arm is farther away from my body. Thanks for this tutorial! Perfect timing. Blessings to you!😎

I'm a big fan of yours since day 1 because of your innovation in jump rope. But what if there's a 1 on 1 jump rope battle at Rush Athletics, similar to the game of skate where we compete with tricks? That would be really cool if it happens 💪💪💪

The best thing for me and my timing was the mirror. At the gym I pull the striking bag out in front of the mirror and then I work sets of punching and kicking and then facing the mirror with the jump rope. Actually being able to critique my motion and form in real time is a game changer. I've been involved in martial arts my whole life but at 62 ,when it comes to the rope, I'm a newbie. Using the mirror to check your form will accelerate your learning and make you a Jump Rope Black Belt a lot sooner.

I took the nova rope for a spin (hehe) today. The feedback was unbelievable. Easy favorite and I felt the response time smoothed out a lot of the combos I hit! Bravo!

There's something that I've just grasped about DUX, which is going slowly in order to cross at the right time going continuous. I've been struggling for more than a year ( with 1 seesion a week) only being able to make 2 consecutive DUX, because I was going too fast with the rope and my double unders weren't synched with the crosses.
Probably the toughest move to accomplish in my view.
    Keep it up Rushie.

Iv always noticed how hold the rope very far up the handle, for me personally, this really helped me feel the whip and momentum in my wrist. Thanks man!

I'd like to make sure I have what you're saying clearly: time the wrist flicks to the feet not the feet to the wrist flicks. Right?
So often it seems like I'm chasing the rope because I'm timing my jumps to the rope instead of the other way around.
I hope I have this right b/c I've been looking for a cue to help me clean up my double unders (crossfit) so I can start doing large sets (10+) consistently.
    Thanks.

lit great content! Such a jump rope boss! But about the timing i am actually suffering recently from the different tension between each XDUs(under double crossover but crossover first) when i practice continous XDUs, cause with cross, the speed and the tension in the wrist actually drop a bit after the cross, which leads to the tangle. Any suggestion for this ?

Hello Rushie, would you please answer this question that has tormented me for quite a long time now. Why do you knot your rope whereas Floyd doesn't use a single one on his rope?
