I don’t know how I missed this video. 11 days late but I indeed needed the therapeutic sounds of Angelo’s “artistic” work. As always thank you. My mother passed away and as I look at your clean well kept nails I think of her. 😃She would always say, be sure to look at a man’s smile and see if he has clean kept nails. 😀😀Miss you Mom!

35 years ago when I was in the military we cared for and shined our black leather shoes and boots. It was a source of great pride to produce a glass-like surface that shone. I miss that part of serving. Thanks for the videos
You dont polish them. You clean them and protect them with black matte shoe fat. Polishing is just for chicane and show off in the US Army.
I joined USAF in 1987, back when we still wore fatigues, and the old toecap style boots (before the "Hitec" revolution of the 90's), and the traditional low quarters shoes. I remember it was somewhat of a competition on who could get the best shine on them, in basic training, and tech school. But then the Hitec boots came which did not take a shine very well, no matter how hard you tried, and then you have the cheaters, that bought the chlorofram shoes, that looked like epoxy, and you didnt shine at all.
@@ckmoore101I have a few pairs of the corfams, they are a type of urethane hence that glass look of them. They definitely look fake, especially compared to real leather with a proper shine. Also they don't breathe so your feet sweat a lot in them. The civilian ones I got are "brogues" so they actually breathe.
I can't say that I understand the point of using the railroad spike type object as a tool. But If I had to guess, it helps scrape off thicker/oilier dirt without messing up the leather or similar material of the boot? And to get dirt out of the corners of the outsole without ruining or tearing the stitching? Either way, it sounds great and is a pretty good visual for how simple it seems to be. Love the videos!
sometimes if a shoe has been polised a lot there will be a buildup of wax that makes it harder to fully clean, moisturize and shine so the scraping takes off the old wax polish too

Something about the whole process is so relaxing.. it seems like it would feel like a really subtle foot masage in a way 🤣 best part is toward the end with the rubbing on the oils and the gentle slapping over and over

He's that cool that he just washed boots with a dusting of dirt
And a lot of chemicals, but not reused. Kind of defeats the object of the bottles in a way, don't you think?

The videos are great to watch, but they could do with fixed focused, specifically on the subject matter. Most of the video the focus is on his upper legs, and upper boot area, leaving the primary focal area out of focus.

Sorry, but video is out of focus most of the time.
And then the boots magically separate at every thread for being over moisturized and beaten to death. Sure it looks great as it's happening. So does anything when it's wet. When that boot dries out it's Falling apart at the seams
You know nothing about boot care. He definitely did not over moistuize the boots, they were dry and about ready to start cracking , he does a great job and knows what the boot needed.
