She was definitely the best of the defense attorneys for the show. Especially after they got past the issues of her debut appearance (when she kept screaming "objection!" after having already been overruled).
John played the role of asskissing, self-serving, get ahead no matter what, lawyer weasel, sexual deviant, perfectly. Don't think they could have casted anyone better for the role. Plus I always found it funny that he was a public prosecutor wearing $1500 suits working in a night court trying to put away low level criminals. LOL
My God, EVERY episode with Daniel Frishman and John Larroquette are so brilliantly written, directed, acted and edited that it's nearly impossible to top on a comedic level! These were the best moments I remember ever looking forward to even when watching reruns. How could you ever tire of Night Court?!?!!!
It would be nice if Frishman returns as Dan’s boss in the sequel series. Would love to see that, except he retired from acting in the late 80s. Hope someone contacts him and asked him if he can get out of retirement so he can return for the NC sequel series.

The guy playing Dan's boss was in an early episode of Married With Children. Steve had a road rage incident and the guy tracked him to the Bundy house. Al advised Steve to yank the door open and punch him in the belly. Of course Steve didn't know he was little, so when he threw the punch, it tagged the guy in the head. KO'd him. They brought him inside and put him on the couch. When he came to, he was upset about Steve's vicious nature. It was pretty funny thirty years ago. I think it would be funny today.

I had to do a little research on the subject, and found that indeed, they have very similar names. Dan is the geeky actor from Head of the Class. Daniel is the little person actor (Ewok). Both are Frischman. Interesting coincidental names. They don't appear to be directly related.
you know what was funny is that one of the producers was Linwood boomer, who played as the blind Adam Kendall on little house on the prairie, & then also created Malcolm in the Middle
What really works is even though Vincent dispises Dan as a person, he still respects his work and even tells him so. This goes all the way back to Vincent's 1st appearance on night court.

I loved Melissa Rauch in Big Bang but here she's out of her element. Dan has made too "nice"! And those new characters just get in the way!

This was SUCH a great ensemble cast! Coupled with great writing, we got to watch the magic happen! Everyone embodied their part perfectly!

Men's suits haven't really changed much other than being less fitted. Women's styles have ebbed and flowed since then.
