As far as QB…… stats are very close across the board. This is the biggest game of both careers. Neither one in the 1st year did much to brag about. Both lost multiple winnable games last year. Tomorrow will be a huge measuring stick at that position for both programs. 1 other overlooked advantage Texas has without question is at TE. The man child is an absolute beast. Probably the most athletically talented player in the stadium. That could be huge. Likely it will come down to 3 deciding factors…. Special Teams, Turnover margin and Big/ Explosive Plays ( offensive plays resulting in 20 yards or more). Both secondaries are going to have they’re hands full covering the very talented receivers both teams have. With all that being said Texas not having to blitz because the front four they send out can get to the quarterback is a huge luxury for Texas. Not just the starting 4 DL’s. Texas has about 7 or 8 talented D-linemen that can get pressure. So with that rotation the D-Line will stay fresh all game. OU will have to lean on their TE,RB and/or an extra lineman on a lot of plays to assist/ help in protection. Every down a skill player or extra lineman is needed to help the O-Line for OU is a match up win for the Texas Defense. Not to mention a waist of a skill player threat or option at the Qb’s disposal for the Sooners. That’s where this becomes one sided. Even with the extra help on numerous plays for OU’s O-Line Texas will still create chaos from pressures, knock downs and batted balls recording at least 5 sacks. OU’s quarterbacks uniform is going to be filthy by games end. Texas D-Line is best in the country (none better) at least 5 of them are probably going to play on Sunday in the future. Sooner fans need to hope they’re QB is tough because he’s going to need to be. He is dual threat so that will help some to withstand the onslaught of relentless harassment he will be subjected to. Taking all this into account I think OU puts more points on the board than a lot of folks for Texas think they will. They will score more than any team to date has thus far this season. The big plays will be about equal ( both teams will have 6 or more 20+ yrd plays on offense). Both teams will leave points on the field with both PK’s missing 1 field goal/extra point each. Slight advantage Texas on turnovers ( Texas will have 1 interception and 2 fumble recoveries; OU will have 1 interception and 1 fumble recovery). OU’s fumble recovery will give them the advantage on special teams. It will give them quick points or great field position because the fumble recovery will be off a punt or kickoff return. With all this in consideration I am predicting a two score game final in margin of victory. 44-31 TEXAS!!! HOOK’ EM HORNS!!!

Texas and Oklahoma have played compatibly the same teams except for bama so we'll see how much more experience the different quarterbacks have and how our defenses perform.
When you have to throw "except" in there, that throws the argument out the window. Just look at the SOS and the fact Texas has played 2 top 25 teams while OU has not.

Please don't try to use the Georgia and TCU game as your straw man argument 😂 Fact of the matter is we out talent them in every position and big game experience.
Oklahoma has been under estimated in the running game and all the tight end position. They haven't thrown to it very much and it could very well be a problem. This is just my opinion but OU has a very capable tight end position that's going to give Texas problems
Seen many OU fans say they are waaay better than last year and I see that. But Texas is also waaaay waaay better than last season. None of that matters in this game it’s gonna be a slugfest like always.
OU will have to pass and will get some big completions. If Texas can run and finish long drives with TDs, they’ll win. Sanders could make the difference in gutting OU defense in the middle. You just can’t pick one thing to defend against with this Texas offense. 🤘

Inconsistency on offense and the kicking game must improve to win because OU will expose the secondary on deep passes. Have seen too many times where they were burned on a deep route and Milroe is the most accurate QB they have faced yet. The worst part is if they do beat OU they'll probably have to play them again and it is extremely hard to beat a good team twice. Will be glad to get away from the championship structure of the Big-12.
OU will not expose the secondary , #28 and #23 are both elite 🤘🏾 they do take the occasional play off looking for the big hit but outside of that , they’re solid IMO 🧡🧡
People are downplaying how good 49-0ers are on offense and defense. Yes they haven't played great competition but neither have we. Outside Alabama, all other teams have been pushovers and Texas has had trouble moving the ball on those teams. More recently our defense has had problems against the deep ball and that is OUs strength. It's going to be a close game and it will come down to who does well under pressure.
3 of the teams Texas has played are undefeated in all of their other games, Rice is 3-2 only losing to USF who played toe to toe with a weak Alabama, and they beat Baylor who almost beat Utah

Kansas without their starting qb isn't a top 25 team. Kansas will finish the season with 5-6 losses if not more. Bama won't finish in the top 10. @@MrRyanrod2002
I think Texas sos is 16 and OU is 82. That isn’t close competition.
@@MrRyanrod2002 and as a result, we have various crucial injuries plaguing us this week while OWho is well-rested. Look at UGA last season cruising along against easy competition and then faced a battle-hardened TCU...65-7 is how much "who have you played" matters!
@collegebro85 Crucial injuries? Sanders and Watts are still gametime decisions and aside from them, there are still plenty of play makers to circumvent their loss if they can't play. Please don't try to use the Georgia and TCU game as your straw man argument 😂 Fact of the matter is we out talent them in every position and big game experience.
texas all day baby let’s go ❤
Oklahoma has been under estimated in the running game and all the tight end position. They haven't thrown to it very much and it could very well be a problem. This is just my opinion but OU has a very capable tight end position that's going to give Texas problems
Jt sanders gonna have a field day with ou
Seen many OU fans say they are waaay better than last year and I see that. But Texas is also waaaay waaay better than last season. None of that matters in this game it’s gonna be a slugfest like always.
as long as we have 1 or less turnovers, we should win. who knows though
We must be able to win at the line without blitz’s f
Hope to see it! Expect to see it!
@@TheMidnightHighway if we can get penetration with 4 that would be a huge W
OU's secondary won't be able to handle Texas. I think Ewer has a huge game. 4+ touchdowns and over 400 yards thru the air
The yards were close, but fewer TD's and 2 ints. That goal line stop and int in the end zone hurt.
I like Texas Homer just for the voice.
OU will have to pass and will get some big completions. If Texas can run and finish long drives with TDs, they’ll win. Sanders could make the difference in gutting OU defense in the middle. You just can’t pick one thing to defend against with this Texas offense. 🤘
Texas win by 3 touchdowns💪🏾🇨🇱🇨🇱🇨🇱🤘🏾
Sooner fan here. Wnded up being closer, but a good game overall. Texas has a good squad that I'm sure will be in the Big12 Championship this year.
If you think about it, ou has had 5 weeks to prepare for this game. I mean, they were playing nothing but scout teams their past 5 games. This is basically their first game of the season. Their cupcake schedule has given them the momentum and confidence needed for this game.
They also haven't faced adversity. Soon as it starts going bad. Then doubts will start creeping in and it'll be over with
There's your excuse for losing. Other than the Tide who have the Horns played?

OU shouldn't even come to Dallas. We haven't played anyone! We didnt get any better. We lost 49-0 last year. Texas is amazing on all fronts. All weve done this year is BS because weve played nothing but JV teams! 94-0 TEXAS

@@johnjohnson1997 I’m a Oklahoma fan and I watch both teams you have to be hella delusional if you have either team winning by more then 14 there’s people on both sides thinking past games or previous years will determine the outcome. I don’t talk my shit I let the kids play.
@@Laurentiusiii I mean I know OU is better than last year, but Texas is also better than last year in a lot of ways. I can see OU getting beat by much more than 14. But then again this is Cotton Bowl, anything can happen.

And Texas lost...in spite of all their bragging and non-cupcake schedule. Go figure. LOL!
Will be a good game, OU hasn't faced a defense like Texas yet and Texas hasn't played a good passing QB.

The mighty Texas Longhorns are the best football team in the nation
They beat the most overrated team, ever They are not the best team Horns down
Yeah, maybe they are …. And maybe they’re not 🤣
Run game isn't all on the Oline sometimes you got to make dudes miss and go
Half of OUs roster has never played in this game, including Gabriel. They will be in shock for a time at the first of the game, giving Texas a chance to overwhelm them and never let the settle in. I like our chances
what? Gabriel has played more ball than every player on UT
@@zebrajenks EXACTLY, everyone is overlooking the fact Gabriel has faced FAR more talented teams than we have for the past 3 years combined! He will absolutely be a factor in this game...unless he has a "back issue" like someone we know last week...
@@zebrajenks he's still never played in a game this big.
@@collegebro85yes but to be fair Gabriel is 2-4 in those big games
Ahhhh haha Texas sucks and overrated
Never seen Texas quite this overconfident. SOONERS can smell this and this results in them playing with no fear of losing. This team is nothing like what Texas had to feast on last year. Look forward to a very close game….a great game.
Overconfident? Or just confident?
I will be shocked if the longhorns don’t win by 4 TDs or more
Ou hasn’t played anyone relevant and Texas and dominated every team. 2 ranked teams btw.
Sooners may get a late 7 points
But I doubt it
kansas not a top 25 team without there starting QB, so you beat one ranked team. and the one ranked team you faced got sacked by south florida 5 times, meaning that your defense isnt as good, rather bamas offense and O line is trash. OLE MISS held bama to the same amount of points you did, and south florida held them to less. OLE miss defense not good at all, they allowed LSU to score 49 on them, and let georgia tech score 23. stop the homor take lol, you havent played a good offense yet meaning your defense hasnt been tested either. your offense hasnt scored over 40 yet. your facing a OU team that is top 3 in the nation in both offense and defense effiecency. after all of that i still think texas should be favored, but i wouldnt be suprised at all if OU won, maybe by a TD or 2.
@@zoomdoof6107Jason Bean has started as many games as Quinn Ewers, give or take a game or two. Stupid argument. This is football
@@savedpatriot9007 no lol, i dont care how many times someone starts, if your missing your starting QB who is carrying your whole team to being a top 25 team, then when you lose him your not a top 25 team. stop it.

I love how you throw my argument out (based on facts) and made up some bullshit on your own.
Texas longhorns are an NFL team playing college football right now. And no one can beat them square up. Fact
Go be a hater somewhere else
Uhhh, Texas didn't dominate Rice or Wyoming. What games did you watch? Kansas is trash and shouldn't have even smelled being ranked.
Texas respects 0U, but they don’t fear them. That will be the difference.
That goes both ways dudett
I'm only here because I just saw Skip Brainless attempt to say that Gabriel is more talented than Tua Tagovailoa. I could see that was a load of shit just by watching the video, with the audio muted. All those stats from the audio just further proved I was right. Skip just can't get over the fact that every QB he backs coming out of college, just keep failing in epic fashion. We are still waiting for Johnny Manziel and Baker Mayfield to take the throne of Cleveland from LeBron James, and he hasn't even been there for years now to stop them. 🤣🤣🤣. Good video though. Nice in depth breakdown of the teams across the board. Not a horns fan, but when it comes to OU or Texas, I will never not be rooting for Texas to smoke that sooner ass. 🤘🏽
OU 31 TX 21
Tx 59-0
That’s funny 😂
Texas is going to play aggressive football against blowu just like they did bama
OKLAHOMA BEAT TEXAS, 63 - 14 IN 2000, BOB STOOPS' SECOND SEASON WITH BRENT VENABLES AS CO - DEFENSIVE COORDINATOR WITH MIKE STOOPS! OKLAHOMA 48 TEXAS 24.
LMAO no way they score 48 on Texas' defense.
I WAS RIGHT! OKLAHOMA BEAT TEXAS 34 - 30. I PREDICTED OU 48 TEXAS 24.
If that was the case, Milroe and Bama should have won the game, just on deep balls. Our d-line said, "not so fast my friend"
We'll still play the same conference title format in the SEC with no more divisions there, soooo
Oklahoma won fair & square - what a game by those guys 🤘🏾🤘🏾
People are downplaying how good 49-0ers are on offense and defense. Yes they haven't played great competition but neither have we. Outside Alabama, all other teams have been pushovers and Texas has had trouble moving the ball on those teams. More recently our defense has had problems against the deep ball and that is OUs strength. It's going to be a close game and it will come down to who does well under pressure.
That's horseshit. Kansas has a good defense. They had stopped the run well, before 24 showed up
you gotta watch em play they’re not elite on either side of the ball , you giving those boys too much credit lol 🤷🏾♂️
3 of the teams Texas has played are undefeated in all of their other games, Rice is 3-2 only losing to USF who played toe to toe with a weak Alabama, and they beat Baylor who almost beat Utah
LOL STOP IT. Kansas's scoring defense is ranked #76 in the nation. "Good defense" lol what a joke.@@savedpatriot9007

Bama is down they will lose 3 games

Close game but OU WINS
Kansas was ranked when Texas destroyed them.
This will be another blowout like last year, except it will be OU doing the blowing out.
Yes OU does blow.
And then you woke up.
63-14 OU wins and Bama is fully exposed as a shell of their former self.

If were beating honest texas beat an alabama team with no identity also two touchdowns was called back that game and the two interceptions was direct passes to the defense. When it comes to the rest of the schedule for texas they struggled with every team they played before their talent kicked in which will not be the case for ou. Texas is elite and even as good as they are they still feel like little brother. I got ou 27-20 but i got texas winning big 12 and both get in playoffs and ou win championship vs texas lol fantasy world
Texas didn’t have an indentity either .. there offense last year was bijan and Rojo …second fane and they still don’t know who they are … why is easy for people like you to say that for bama but not Texas … don’t forget Texas dropped tds passes vs bama also .. why didn’t you bring that up 😂 ? Lol a die hard and im not making excuses for bama im saying there was a lot of help is all… and past that texas hasn't played anybody who really believed that kansas was a top 25 team lol
If we get a few breaks in turnovers we might have a shot.
Texas fans think their tuff because they scraped by beating a Bama team that made so many HORRIBLE mistakes including two interceptions DIRECTLY to Texas defenders hands it was so bad it looked on purpose 😂 also the same Bama that struggled against a horrible program of South Florida😂 SO, it seems this win for Texas has gotten to their heads a little too much 😂 which I of course enjoy because we’ve been in the lab waiting for this moment, off the headlines and stories, preparing our dawgs for this game! We’ve held back all of our true talent and best plays just for this moment! We want to be overlooked by the same cry babies who’s feelings were hurt because of an upside down hand gesture😂 our defense will put a stop to Texas and our offense will feed off of that to return the favor!
