  • General Hospital is celebrating its 60th anniversary, and to kick things off the long-running ABC daytime drama series begins its milestone with a special episode dedicated to the late Sonya Eddy (Epiphany) who passed away last December, followed by the return of the iconic Nurses' Ball next week.
To discuss the 60th anniversary, GH cast members: Josh Swickard (Chase) and Laura Wright (Carly) chatted with Michael Fairman for the Michael Fairman Channel.
Laura shared what it was like being on set taping the emotional episode that paid tribute to Sonya and her character, Epiphany. Later, she opened up about yesterday's heartbreaking news that GH's beloved producer, Nneka Garland passed away suddenly. Michael, Josh and Laura share a moment of remembrance and grief over their beloved colleague.
Looking ahead, Josh teases his upcoming performance at the Nurses' Ball, and if Chase and Brook Lynn might reconcile during it, plus he recalls his initial audition for GH.
Laura weighs-in on the state of Carly's relationship with Drew and working with Cameron Mathison, and if trouble lays ahead for the duo. She also recalls her first day on the set working with Maurice Benard (Sonny), and more.

What a wonderful interview! Great questions and Josh and Laura were delightful. Condolences to everyone at GH for the recent losses they have experienced. Today's tribute to Sonya Eddy was incredibly moving. Thank you for your coverage of GH's 60th anniversary, Michael. Keep up the fantastic work you do covering daytime, it is very much appreciated.

Being a frustrated Chase and Brook Lynn fan, I loved that you guys said Chase was being a stink pot. He totally is. I want to see these two back together. Its obvious they care about each other.

I absolutely can't stand Carly but I think Laura would be an interesting friend - if she could forgive me for hating hating hating her character! Team Nina a million times over! (:
So glad Chase is back at his real job! He won our Best Actor award on goldderby for his work in 2021! He got saddled with a poor storyline in 2022 imo. Here's hoping we get more from Chase this year! (:
Sonya Eddy - such a treasure! (: I particularly loved her work in the second season of GH: Night Shift.

Nicole Brown was lackluster. She lacked emotion in her scenes.
