Wonderful rendition of this glorious ode to the oppressed. One of the best I've heard. This man should do some more mainstream recordings. If you can sing Old Man River, you can sing the New York phonebook.
That soloist, man. Holy cow.
Imagine seeing this performance live... wow... truly beautiful.
This is Sparta!
EXTRAORDINARIO
Amazing and beautifully done. It’s a great song
This performance gives me goose bumps.
this is so beautiful it makes me cry
Me too
Piano gave me chills immediately
Beautiful😍🎧💯
Wunderbar und gefühlvoll. ..👍
Wonderful performance!
Original Music by Jerome Kern, lyrics by Oscar Hammerstein II
From "Show Boat", 1927
His vibrato is fantastic!
Bravo!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Eine wunderbare Bassstimme. Ein Vorbild für mich. Ich hoffe ich bekomme das genauso hin. Ich arbeite daran.
Sing cuz.
No comparison with Paul Robeson
The background fucks up the lead.
The chorus and pianist are fine. But the arrangement is a bad idea and overblown besides. In addition, the soloist (baritone) has a bad wobble and cannot manage the low A-flats successfuly.
Damn ain’t you just something.. like the next Mozart damn what a legend
Bad vocal . This song is musical song . İsnt opera song .
I agree as well. This is over sang.
No emotion .... park and bark
This is so bad because it’s so out of character with an ol’ slang song ... it’s like if they did this with “Yeah” by Usher
It is a bit too flowery and comtemporary
With due respect, I much prefer Paul Robeson's and William Warfield's renditions.
You’re an idiot
