    Wonderful rendition of this glorious ode to the oppressed. One of the best I've heard. This man should do some more mainstream recordings. If you can sing Old Man River, you can sing the New York phonebook.

    The background fucks up the lead.

    The chorus and pianist are fine. But the arrangement is a bad idea and overblown besides. In addition, the soloist (baritone) has a bad wobble and cannot manage the low A-flats successfuly.

    This is so bad because it’s so out of character with an ol’ slang song ... it’s like if they did this with “Yeah” by Usher
