It's amazing the difference that a tire pattern can make. I can definitely stop the tractor in its tracks, but it's also angled most of the time so it's taking a narrower swath than it seems. Plus, the load is "sliding" off to one side when angled so that helps to keep it moving as well.
Do you feel the auto connect pto is worth it? I have heard some mixed reviews about it being more hassle than it is worth. No to mention you have the auto connect under the tractor when snow blowing. When I get my x739 I plan to mow and switch out in the winter for a snow blower. Possibly take the deck off once during the summer to clean and sharpen blades. I feel like it would be easier to just get the standard shaft.
I have an older X585 with the 54" plow (without extensions). I also have newer HDAP tires but still have issues plowing on occasion even with 4WD and the differential lock engaged. In the most recent storm, I was spinning all 4 tires in about 10" of wet snow. Do the suitcase weights on the rear make a noticeable difference with traction in these scenarios? I have chains as well but dont want to ruin the new concrete floor in my garage with them. Thanks for the led headlight tip as I was looking for different options and I believe the X585 uses the same bulbs.
Thanks for watching. I haven't ran this machine without suitcase weights so can't say with certainty. However, I'd be surprised if they don't help. Ballast weight helps on all the larger tractors I've used. Chains also help. Take a look at the Terra Grip rubber chains that will better protect concrete and paved surfaces. Good luck!
Very nice! I ordered this x739 new with the plow, but the dealer handed me the valve in a box. I think it came with instructions and was easy enough to install, that I didn't bother to mention to them.
Good to know I was looking at this video because I just ordered my X739 with snow plow and was trying to get ahead of the game, hope my comes installed as well when it arrives next week.

Great video, per usual, Courtney. Switching my x739 over to winter mode soon. I also did the LED lights....will be nice on those winter mornings!
Thank you for the video! I just purchased the heavy duty lockout valve from auxhd for $85 and will be installing it tomorrow.
47.2 Hrs... She is still a baby. I miss my X739.. Great machine!
I know it. I mowed all summer and only put on 27.2 hours. Bring on the snow!
@@GoodWorksTractors When I traded mine in for the KM I had 45 hrs on it and it felt like it took me forever. The KM hr better seems fast in comparison
Yeah, I put a lot more hours on my bigger tractors for sure.
Enjoy your videos! That looks like a big plow for a tractor of that weight and no chains.

@@GoodWorksTractors HDAP, Oh you are so right about tires!
Great video I really appreciate it. Mine was doing the same thing on my X7 50 and I thought the piston was going bad.

Thank you for a heads up on JD equipment.

Will do and thanks!
Is the valve connected to the yellow hydraulic line? Thank you.
Does the lockout need to be closed when using the mower deck or does it matter?
My 2019 came with the valve!!

So your 2019 came from the factory with this installed already?
Is this valve needed for the snowblower attachment
Yes, it would be beneficial.
I have X758. My plow raises and lowers very slow.. How can I make it faster? Is there valve like in your video for that function? Thanks
Does the hydraulic lift on 1025r have the same issue.
Howdy, it does not. The front blades on the subcompacts run off of the loader controls.
@Good Works Tractors
Thanks
Do you think they make a big difference in the amount and quality of light you get?
Yes, I add them to any tractor I keep. ruclips.net/video/SdB1KTQGXQ0/видео.html
Can you supply a bulb number for the backup lights ?
I'm not sure of those part numbers unfortunately
I never need a plow for my Deere since i have my case 644
Were can I get the cheaper lockout value
I posted it in the description of the video. www.auxhyd.com/4X5-and-X-Series-Quarter-Turn-Lockout-Valve_p_86.html
