- Canada panders to China so much that they seemed to have completely abandoned democratic nations like Taiwan. Today I talk about how our history is so similar that we share common goals that Canada should be doing better at helping Taiwan obtain.

一開始提到WIKI維基百科的內容，得有個認知，現在的維基百科，尤其是中文維基百科，英文的還沒那麼嚴重，中文的維基，已經被中國掌控，內部的管理員以中立為藉口，將條目改為中共要的大外宣的內容，已經不可全信維基百科所寫的內容。想了解台灣？最好依據台灣教育部的百科為準。
我覺得重點不是加拿大幫不幫台灣，而是顯示中共已經能影響了一部分加拿大政府的作為，如果一直誤判以為中國只是要打壓台灣，而忽略中共的野心，這才是可怕的！
像加拿大，英国，西班牙这些个国家永远不可能支持台湾独立的，因为他们自己内部的魁北克，苏格兰，加泰罗尼亚长久以来也有独立问题。他们要一支持台湾，国内独立的声浪只会更强。说到底还是国家实力决定一切，连意识形态都必须让步于政治利益，参考美苏冷战水火不容时却先联手肢解了英法的殖民体系，即便英美是所谓的民主国家联盟，有屁用。
笑死人噢…很多國家需要晶片的時候真的是另一個嘴臉，例如德國。
台灣已經是一個主權獨立的國家，不需要獨立。謝謝
對的，不是幫不幫，是對加拿大/或其他國家，比手畫腳，套圈圈。

I just want to say thank you Prossie.
I've felt this way for years, during my life abroad. Why aren't we, you and me, friends? Everywhere I go hear people say Taiwan is great, Taiwan is a country, and that people like Taiwanese people. Then I look upwards and their governments are shaking hands with the leaders of China, allowing the oppression of Taiwan to happen in every aspects in the international community.

I am French with Vietnamese origins and used to live in Taiwan for 4 years. Now I am Vancouver, Canada with my Taiwanese wife and I can say yes Canadians are not like Americans. I don't know about that. I'm Canadian and most of my relatives think very much like the Americans. they think Canada has been taken over by a dictatorship. I guess it depends on where you live. Vancouver is part of a large immigrant population, much like California , with many liberal ideas.

Being Canadian what upset me more was how the Trudeau government was going to help the Chinese military by showing them how we did trained our troops and how we fought a war. Im soo happy the U.S stepped in last year and it was canceled last year i believe.
I feel the same way about my country Denmarks regarding our acceptance of letting the PRC bullying us into not standing up to them on human rights issues, HK, naval disputes in the south East Asian sea, the economical unfair relationships between the PRC and the west and not least the Taiwan issue.
Even more so when it comes to EU, the whole structure are wrong when it’s comes to dealing with an country as the PRC. The PRC have bought the governments in some of the South and East European EU countries, but an even bigger problem is it that Germany only cares about money, that’s why they do not wanna stand up to the PRC and why they still are founding the Russian military by buying gas in huge quantities.
Here in Denmark we had some years ago a visit from the CCP’s top, and the police were set in to a avoid that the CCP lost face by seeing Tibet demonstrators. Clearly against the Danish law, and there have been an ongoing lawsuit to place the blame for that. I don’t see it as likely it will happen again!
Anders Fogh Rasmussen, the former prime minister of Denmark and general secretary of NATO campaigned for Denmark to support Taiwan and push for a western military commitment in support of Taiwan, more or less first time ever I agree with him.
I know there have been plans about some extremely limited sanctions against the PRC as an reaction on the human rights abuses in the PRC from the EU’s side. But it’s far to little and to late.
We need to see Europe and the US start an coalition of countries to place tariffs on the PRC and on the long run even sanctions if tariffs aren’t enough.

Taiwan had already received help from Canada. There is a great doctor George Leslie Mackay (喬治·萊斯里·馬偕) who bring modern medication to Taiwan. Now we have many hospital use his name. 馬偕醫院 （Mackay hospital)
It's so ridiculous how our governments all kow tow to the CCP. The UK should certainly recognise Taiwan as a legitimate country! That's why we as content creators should definitely do more to showcase Taiwan to the rest of the world. Nice video.

Same goes to Malaysia who unashamedly continued Belt & Road Initiative and even called China its big brother. I started to look up to Taiwan in 2019 with my experience in Canada observing what went wrong there, and HK riot already gave me the big clue. Since then I started to include more Taiwanese stuff in my comic, revisited a childhood video game from Taiwan lately: Rich4, and of course to appreciate more songs (Mandarin, Taiwanese/Hokkien, English, Hakka) from Taiwanese artists since they still dominate Chinese music industry in the world. I would wish to visit Taiwan someday.
you should ask UK to recognized Scotland, North Ireland as legitimate country first.

去居酒屋的那段音樂很可愛😁。大約30年前，地理課本教的是中國大陸36個省份，農產、礦產、氣候、省會、河川高山⋯一個一個要背起來，我以為自己是中國人，後來讀了一本很深奧的書，講臺灣人沒有自我特色、沒有民族性，我似懂非懂。現在學生學的是認識自己長大的台灣，對於這塊土地也有了歸屬感。😄
教育本来就是这样，要洗脑很容易，不管是中共来洗，还是民进党来洗，一代人时间，认知就能发生改观，有朝一日，当两岸重新统一，当那些山河大川、名胜古迹重新回到你们的教科书中，成为你触手可及的祖国，并和你的文化根基融为一体，届时又会形成新的归属感。

I totally agree. I am Canadian as well and I heard about that Halifax award thing too and I was really disappointed how the government intervened to stop it. I also worry looking at how easily China took a greater hold on Hong Kong and seeing how little push back they got makes me worry about Taiwan! So few people even know where Taiwan is or what the issue with China is. With the increased military moves China is making and how little people know or care about Taiwan it seems like they are testing to see how much they can do with not getting any pushback. I worry that if China did make a move to take over Taiwan the international community wouldn’t feel that it was worth coming to Taiwan’s aide and that would just be absolutely terrible in for Taiwan (which is such a a special place), Asia and the world!

There is a big difference: both Mainland China and Taiwan’s constitution state that their government (Mainland or Taiwan) is the rightful government of whole China I.e. Mainland or Taiwan is Part of China. Even lot of people say: Canada is 51st state of USA but this not in either country’s constitution.

Thus I also felt upset about the news, Trudeau government threatens Halifax Security Forum over the proposed Taiwan award. Thank you for standing with us. Most of the time Taiwanese people felt lonely while facing China, especially on the world stage.
Karma will go back to non-native American Canadians who stole the land of native Americans. God will punish the colonists and their descendants.

Taiwan and Canada are the only places I stayed for living. I am currently in Toronto and I do wish to go back to Taiwan to see my grandmother. But this lockdown in Toronto is getting so strict that is hard for us to leave right now. God bless Taiwan and Canada. Two amazing places.

Thank you for making this video. I feel very warm as a Taiwanese seeing a westerner that knows how difficult we Taiwanese are in this world. We got bullied by Chinese government all the time and basically the world stays silent because no one wants to mess with China. One thing that really makes me sad is that the west did not do anything to help people on Hong long when the situation really got bad. Only UK kinda opens up the border for HKers to gain chances to residency in UK. Other countries almost did nothing important to fight back to Chinas bully. I am worried that this will happen to Taiwan as well. Though we have military, and we are independent de facto, if Chinese invades us, we would suffer a lot and probably wouldn’t last long. And then this valuable vibrant island is gone forever, with the blood of ours.

謝謝為台灣發聲。在龐大的利益或威脅驅使之下，人性本能上一定是選擇趨吉避凶。中共就一個流氓，欺負人的時候，旁邊其他人想制止，中共不是給點好處讓別人閉上嘴，甚至要給你跟多好處要求你一起同流合污，要嘛就是威脅別人不要插手，有多少人在這種情況還願意為別人挺身而出？所以各國常常無視台灣也很正常，不幫著中共助紂為虐就不錯了，動動嘴譴責一下或是某些制裁一下，大多歐美國家就覺得自己道義已盡，反正沒欺負到自己頭上來，不會有幾個國家是真的願意出多少力的，現實就是如此

I used to do one of the researches about comparison in between Taiwan and Quebec, and I think there are some similarity as well.
