Over the winter, I was happy to learn that the Mountaineers had created the Olmsted 50; it gave me a good way to explore the Olmsted legacy in this city!
Beautiful walk! One quick note from someone married to a Husky, at 9:14, Suzzallo is pronounced SUZE-a-low, and Bob's right, it's a jaw-droppingly gorgeous temple of books and knowledge.
Haha, I still manage to mispronounce words even after living in the region for 7 years! I've grown to just try to say the word and let someone correct me; it's worked for words like Alki, slough, Mukilteo, Puyallup, the list goes on :)
Seattle's parks are a treasure and learning the history behind each one makes them even more enjoyable.
Thanks again for another great walking tour.
I really appreciate your videos. I live in the Seattle area and have learned about trails and history that I have not heard about anywhere else.
Thank you! I'm glad to find interesting facts and share them
This is great Bob! I was going to suggest you feature an Olmsted video and history and Bingo, here it is!
