Great video. Do you have any word about a large version coming?

No this was just a random review I had never actually seen a spade ever in USA until this day

Thoughts on comparison to Jackson Flow?

I recently came back to this because of your comment about measuring the bow rocker.
This is an interesting spec. You mentioned this boat is 15” to the parting line. Is that measured on a flat surface from the ground up? How does this compare to other popular boats? I measured my Machno and came up with 12, give or take.

Most newer models fall between 14-17” bow rocker

Glad you got to try one. I ordered a spade joker through soul, I am sure I will love it but good to get your take on the outfitting and build quality. Thanks!

Cool video! I thought at first was a bit like a Diesel but when you showed the hull that was different with the rails all the way down.

Yeah it’s hard to put this bat anywhere it’s kinda like a mix of a lot older school ideas with a mix of new school it’s kinda what I feel Verus was trying on the flux

Hi Wade, The small insert in the stern is indeed to mount a cord to the drainplug. I got a Joker and Barracuda myselve. You should definitely try them if you have the chance!

Thanks for the feedback I was 98% sure that’s what it was. And yeah if more ever make it to this area will give some a go

      How do u mount it?!

    • @kamielkayak4088

@@claytonneal7807 I connect a small cord to a bolt that screws into the insert and then connect the cord to the drainplug.

Spade grab handles have overmolded metal inserts over the complete length. Just put a magnet near any of the handles and it will stick to it.

Yes another mention this thanks for the feedback and I was on the side the river if at home I would have for sure removed them and tested.

    • @WadeHarrison
      @WadeHarrison  9 месяцев назад +1

@napopelon1500 Spade Kayaks Designs are manufactured in the Kplast factory in italy who make the Exo boats and plastic GuiGui Prod playboays so all high quality. Their first boat, the Ace of Spades a mor traditional displacement creeker is Blowmoulded in Germany and as such is pretty much bomb proof! I have a Royal Flush and a Bliss, both excellent boats, the Bliss is generally my go to as its just so much fun on a river, and surfs incredibly. Very keen to try a Barracuda too as well as the new Full house when it releases very soon. Highly recommended!

From Hans at Spade about the threads near the derain plug. "We wanted to fix the drainplug there, but found no good looking solution yet."

Hi there, could anybody help me out about getting a beginner boat. Spades are here easy to come by and quite cheap. Blackjack used, good condition 590 bucks (euro), barracuda, joker, etc... I am 5 feet 9.7, and 154 pounds. Thanks for any tips whatsoever ;-)
