I totally got teary eyed watching all those kids play together at the end of the video knowing their loss and seeing their strength together. We can all learn SO MUCH from our super strong kids. You and Nicole are amazing women and raised some great kids!! We can tell just by that little glimpse of them there at the end of the video 😊
River died when my son was 4 or 5 months old. His story was why I got my baby into Infant Swim Rescue Lessons around 1 year later. I was dealing with postpartum depression and anxiety, but the ISR brought a smidge more peace of what might happen whenever we were near a body of water. And we might not have done it if it weren't for little Riv.
Riv changed my life for the better in several ways. We also made sure our kids had swim lessons. Riv and my son are only two weeks apart in age. I wish you the best. God Bless.
Amber..this was what I was referring to in my prior post..that God decided to take River so that River could do ALL KINDS OF WORK on the other side..and LOOK at all River has done!!! OMG...River has managed to change the lives of COUNTLESS CHILDREN AND FAMILIES!!! JUST INCREDIBLE!!!!!👏🙌👏🙌👏🙌👏🙌😇❤️🙏👏

I wonder how many kids will be saved because you had the courage to share this journey with us. I'm confident that your reach will go far beyond anything you could ever imagine. Some parent will hold their child, hug him/her tight, put him/her to bed, and then wake with him/her again the next morning because you gave that parent the courage to do ISR for their child. I thank you in advance for this.

Amber, your Children are so blessed to have a strong Mom like you. I just wanted to reach through the screen to give you a hug. Your one strong Woman. I remember when you Guys showed us your home, when it was finished being built. I believe you guys had the furniture in it too. I remember you suggesting that Granger should hang I believe you said Moose heads in the kitchen. And you even shocked Granger, he replied how did he get so blessed to get married to a Wonderful Woman, who is a Wonderful Wife and Mother. And is even willing to allow him to hang the Moose heads over the main wall in the kitchen. ( I'm not really sure if it's the main wall, where you pointed was up towards the top above the stove and oven part. hopefully this will help bring back that special moment). I noticed they aren't hanging up there yet. But it's not like you Guys haven't been busy. Maybe Granger hasn't had the time to go hunting, or maybe you Guys changed your mind, because of how much London loves animals. I just happened to remember that moment. You and Granger and your Children and the other members of your Family have really opened up your Family and your hearts and your journey to so many people. In my opinion you also brought a lot of People back to GOD, and reminded us, that everything We have is a blessing from GOD in Jesus name. I don't know if you Guys heard about Summer Wells case, at first it seemed like something may of happened when she was swimming at a place called the Swimming hole in Tennessee. I shared River's story with some people who started to follow Summers story. I shared all the wonderful things your Family has done in Rivers honor including the River Kelly Smith Foundation, and how the Foundation helps with funding and to help teach Children to learn to Swim at a very young age. I suggested they Goggle River Kelly Foundation to get more information. About Summers case, she is still missing, and there's a lot of Theory's as to what may of happened to her. I'm not going to bring up Summers case, a lot of people already have heard about Summer. Speaking of Summer the Season, there's several places that are starting to advertise they plan on opening up either pools in different townships in different States. What I'm getting to is can I contact River Kelly's Foundation and see if they have any poster signs that may give information to advise People of the various places that the River Kelly Foundation helps to support so many Organizations to help teach Children water Safety and how to Swim. I realize there's so many places through out all of the States, and that funding is tight in all areas. I would really like to help bring more awareness about safety with Water and with Swimming and stranger danger. If you get a free moment and could tell me who I can contact in helping to bring more awareness in several areas of alerting Parents and especially Children of the signs not just with Swimming but other areas too. I can't wait to see the whole video of Maverick from his first day until your little one graduates his Swimming classes /Survival Water Classes. I hope your doing something like that with London on learning her horse back lessons. That was something I always wanted to learn too. It's amazing watching all of them growing up. It seemed like yesterday, "The Smiths" popped up on you tube. And you Guys have shared so much with us. And I know my Family and Friends that I recommend your story to, they all seem just as excited. There's a lot of shows I need to catch back up. I pray that GOD continues to use your story to share with all of Us. And continues to Bless every member of the Smith Family. In Jesus mighty name, Amen. About a month or so ago, I came across a song, I heard back in the 1980's, the title of the song is "For Those Tears I Died For". For some reason it was removed from the Hymnal books. Someone found it again and the original Artist, and some other singers recorded it as well. There's an updated version, that was recorded about 4 years ago, and the title of the new version is "For Your Tears I Died For". Both of very special songs and versions. "Jesus said come to the fountain, I know you are thirsty, you won't be denied". Some refer to the title as "Come To The Water". I believe the song will touch so many of you. GOD Bless all of you in Jesus name. Amen.

I wish I could reach through this screen and give you a big hug Amber ! I have not gone through such a tragedy as your family and many others have. But my heart has such sympathy and love for those who have. What I do know is that grief over the loss of a loved one hits you in waves. Somedays it's a huge tidel wave, other days not as big a wave. I am nearly at the 12 year Angelversarry of my beloved Husband. Those waves still come in when I least expect them. What I'm trying to say is that you need to feel those feelings and I feel so honored to be one of us that get to hear you express them. Know you and your family are always in my heart and prayers from a Kansas Grandma ❤️ 👵
Wow it amazes me how well an infant can do with proper training in the water the way Mav has done! I would love to go to school to be an instructor for ISR!

I continue to be impressed with London's instructor. I truly appreciate every aspect of how she does her training. I also want to thank you again for taking us along on this ISR journey. I never knew what this was until you shared it with us. It's such important work. This is the perfect example of taking a trial and turning it into a triumph. #YeeYee

Amber, you are such a strong woman. It would be easier to shy away from taking Mav to ISR lessons but you are doing it because you know how important it is. I cannot imagine what you have been through but I'm so proud of what you're doing.

Amazing that Maverick has mastered survival at such a young age. I have no doubt River is with him helping. You are amazing too Amber , blessing you found ISR. That should be taught in every town/city/state. Should be a pamphlet and discussing given at hospitals after the birth of every baby.

Amber dear sweet mama, your tears are my tears having lost my son also. Your bravery and courage are Gods signs to others ,that hope and peace, and even joy still exists after terrible loss. God does not shield you from the pain of loss, but teaches us how to use our faith to push through the pain knowing we will once again see the faces of those who have passed. I KNOW my son waits for me and that brings me joy. River waits for you. See him in the clouds as the winds blow them by. Hear him in the silence of the woods while the birds are singing to your soul. He is all around you strengthening your faith. Gods peace be with you and with your family. 😘

What a gift you are giving Maverick and teaching other parents the importance of water safety. You should write a book on Maverick’s journey of water safety and teaching a baby to survive in the water.

So much emotions in tonight's episode but keeping it real. Amber you always end Arise saying "you are chosen" and He did indeed choose you to share His word but also to show His mercy, He knows the ISR was hard for you but He gave you the strength to not only handle it but to share it. I am sure so many are thankful because of this.

I cannot imagine how difficult it is to see your precious baby under the water after what you have been through. Thanks so much for sharing your most personal times, for educating everyone here, and for being so honest about how difficult this is,, but necessary.
The ending of this episode…gosh, my heartstrings. It’s a wonderful thing for the kids to have a close group of friends that have a parallel (yet very unfortunate) experience. It was so sweet to see them playing but it was so hard seeing them say goodbye. In the first clip of this video, seeing Mav laying on the side of the water, he looks so much like Riv. That’s all I could see was Riv’s little face and red hair. There is no doubt that Jesus and Riv are watching over and guiding sweet little Mav. It looks like London is doing so well with Tik Tom. I really, really hope to see Granger on tour this year! I love that they’re getting back on the road! And I have to mention, I LOVE the song with High Valley! Amber, you’re doing such hard, but amazing things. Giving you all the credit in the world because you deserve it. And so does Mav. He really is a camera ham and I love every second of it. Until Thursday, Yee Yee!

We just completed ISR last week with our 2 year old because of River. I even got my sister to take her 1 year old too. I tell everyone about ISR, especially all my friends with little ones. There were days I got teary-eyed watching my son compete ISR, I cannot imagine how you feel. You and your entire family are so strong though!
I could watch an entire episode of just Maverick going HAM at the camera lol You're a strong lady Amber, I can't imagine the thoughts that run through your head while you trust the process! Lots of love sent your way!

Knowing what your Family and the instructors family has gone thru, I was definitely feeling those emotions watching Maverick floating and learning to roll over in the water to get air.
Your light is knowing that your saving your child before it could happen. You are learning and thriving with Maverick. Its ok to let those emotions our. And they can bring you down if you don't let them out. Y'all got this!!
