00:04 Shift gear into neutral and apply parking brake
00:15 Remove shift knob
00:43 Remove the shifter panel
01:33 Remove AC radio panel
02:25 Remove monitor panel
03:16 Remove monitor
03:59 Release and pull radio forward
04:54 Connect G monitor cable
05:58 Route and position GVIF cable #2 for monitor
07:13 Connect G monitor cable and GVIF cable #2 to monitor
08:45 Connect G MIC cable to factory radio
10:34 Connect GVIF cable #1 to factory radio
11:42 Connect the CAN cable
12:29 CarPlay USB AUX cable explained
15:04 CarPlay set top box position explained and route
all cables down into passenger footwell area

Just ordered mine today for my 2008 Infiniti G35. Hope it works although a little over $600 is a bit to much
is there a way to hide the aux-usb portion and utilize the factory usb slot for the phone connection in the center console?
Hi this is one of the technicians here @ Unavi. You can order one of our usb extension mounts that would give it an OEM look to it. And to answer your question you cannot tap into the OEM usb port not that we know of.
So, you didn't demonstrate the voice navigation sound coming out the car when using Waze, this is a priority. My typical requirements are to use Waze for navigation, Spotify for music and be able to make and receive phone calls...please advise how this would all work together? Thanks.
BTW: Awesome video, but next time use a door jam sensor lock so the beeping stops.

To answer all of your questions everything will work just like if the vehicle came with carplay from factory.
Just make sure that your phone is connected to the infinitis bluetooth system for calls and audio.
What product did you use? My husband was told at Car Toys that there is no way to install Apple Play into our QX50 unless we use a portable one. We do have navigation/touch screen.

Hi Unavi, does this product work for the non-navigation equipped models as well? They do not come with factory bluetooth audio streaming capability, but the interface looks the same.
Hello, as long as the vehicle has touchscreen our system will work. We process the sound through the AUX/IPOD on Infiniti. If you need anything else please let us know, thanks!
@@UNAVItech Hi Unavi, I am looking to install an apple CarPlay capable stereo into my Infiniti QX50 2015. Similar to Andrew's situation my vehicle has this similar interface, but no navigation, no bluetooth, and also no touch screen in the vehicle. Is it possible to navigate apple CarPlay through just the scroll wheel/arrow keys? Or is there another option to purchase for the apple CarPlay install?
@@chuckjensen7333 Hi in order for our stuff to work with your vehicle, it must have touchscreen/navigation.
So you do not have a model that will work with the NON-nav NON-touchscreen units? @@UNAVItech

What about low level rca ? No one will buy this without RCA out to add amplification? You people don’t have marketing research? Anybody willing to spend that kind of money on the aftermarket radio is looking for an upgrade bigger amplifiers the subwoofer this offer is none of that it’s useless.
Hello, our system connects through the OEM system ipod connection for sound. You can add or upgrade your original OEM system with no problems. Our system doesn't effect any aftermarket add on you would like to apply to your sound system. Thanks
