I got the one - I really like it. It's very cheap and plays nicely - feels better than full scale bass for me

Saw this video a while back and happened upon one of these at auction, so I snapped it up. I am thrilled I did. This instrument feels great, sounds great, light weight, and a freaking blast to play! The sound this gem generates is impressive. Not just for little kiddoes... it's for anyone! (in my opinion)

I liked it so much I bought one. I really like it. The pups are very good and it doesn't feel cheap at all. It's super fun and sounds awesome.

Sounds like something's going on with your audio/input - like there's too much gain. For anyone wondering, that distortion/too much gain sound isnt the bass

I got mine this year and compared to my Fender Jazz, this Mini Precision is an incredible bass!

After suffering a sezure I lost some hand strength, this bass was a perfect fit for my weaker hands. Allows me to continue playing.

I hesitated for about 2 years to get one. I just recently got a black one this month. It actually feels great and totally was worth the price. I will see if I can get some mods done and maybe make it a fretless. I was very proud of you demonstrating this bass, #SlappedLike!

When I went to pick up my last bass my 10 year old ran to a red one of these basses and wasn't very happy about having to put it down when it was time to go I'm thinking about buying one for him as his first bass who knows Christmas is coming 😁

I got my mini P-Bass just over a year ago and it's great and I made a video of my own too. I made a few modssince, which weren't necessary, but I like to tinker. I put in an affordable Alnico pickup (lower output then the stock one) and I installed a Fender-branded hi-mass bridge, which required no modification to the body. It just droped right into the existing screw holes.
I'm a guitarist who occasionally plays bass live and I use it for recordings. It got me through two great gigs already. Love it.

Tomorrow I'm going to rent this bass at my local Long & Mcquade, and if I like it a lot I might buy it! I'm so excited!

I think I'll get one after christmas. I bought a shortscale guitar, but it play too cramped for me. You must hang it on with a strap if you want to have a proper playing position, which is annoying. This bass can be set on your lap. I've found out that I'm more a bass guy anyway. Motown and such. I can't store a fullsize, as dumb as it may sound, so I have to go with a shortscale. Thanks for giving a detailed insight to this instrument.

Just got this for my 3y.o. I hope he gets into it
I got him a ludwing breakbeats but he ended up.leaning towards strings more than drums. (I'll keep the drums for me 🤣) I'm excited for this. I like your set up

I've owned three of these Mini's since they were introduced. I still dont understand why they install those tiny strap buttons ! They dont safely fit any strap i own. Lol but otherwise a great Bass ✌️🤘

Satin Urethane on your neck? I am pretty sure mine was raw wood. I gave it 3 coats of Linseed oil to do the trick.

Hi Gary , I was looking for bass to simply use for the odd recording at home and I’m simply not very big so looked for a shorter scale bass as I find the walk to the end of the neck a pain on a normal size one lol . Any way I was thinking there gonna be crap as there cheap but boy was I wrong ! You’ve just inspired me to get one now thanks buddy 👍

Yep, I've played it in church events and recording sessions. I already made some mods to the bass. It's now fretless with a HiMass bridge replacement.

    Great review!!
Could it be used to play live?
Or would it not have enough quality for it?
    Thanks.
    Regards!!

I think it would be good enough to play live, depending on the genre of music.

Laurel is harder than pau ferro or rosewood, close to maple. Great wood for fingerboards IMHO.

How come your low E string sounds heavily distorted but the rest don't? I assume it's an issue with your recording device.

How does it compare to fender bronco bass?

    • @gdenyer
      @gdenyer  2 года назад

I haven't had much experience with the Bronco, but from what I recall, it was quite a smooth play. The scale length on the mini-P is 28.6" compared to the Bronco's 30", so it behaves beautifully. Very easy to play and not hard on your hands. It's an awesome little bass!
