It is a tragedy that Danganronpa 1 and V3 had people who lost their closest friends, but with Danganronpa 2, it is revealed that everyone is alive due to the Killing Game taking place in a virtual world. It's just those that "died" were in a vegative state. But, if we include the Danganronpa anime, it's revealed that the survivors, were able to bring back those who "died" in that Killing Game. All except for Chiaki, as she was an AI based on the real Chiaki who dies about 2 years before the events of Danganronpa 2.

Shuichi too since he lost Kaede and Kaito, plus others. "Take me with you Sakura!" Is also very sad for me because it reminds me of something that happned to me irl. Same with "Angie died, Tenko died...why did I have to survive?" Ofc Mondo and Taka feels sad especially because of the screaming. Fuyuhiko and Peko was the first one to make me cry the first playthrough, and then Kaede and Shuichi did the same thing, and then I rewatched playthoughs and cried at all of them.
Sad fact bout them! 1.kiyotaka starved himself after mondos death in fear of accidentally eating mondo butter 2.hiyoko never liked mikan due to seeing her past self in mikan, and she likes hajime and mahiru due to them being “the only normal ones” 3.aoi possibly never had many friends or wanted Sakura since she has a different personality then most(people outcast overjoyed or the sweet and happy characters usually) 4.fuyuhiko only had peko after his sister died for peko dying was basically him being alone in the world after 5.Sonia had difficulties with everyone treating her perfect and special, gundham treated her normally and she wanted to be like him(also she looked after gundhams hamster after he died‼️) 6.himiko has difficulties with trusting others and has hard times making friends, she did care for tenko and Angie mostly but after they died, gonta died and tsumugi being the mastermind, she possibly lost all trust she could have.
