Ingredients:
(Gratin potato stack)
-russet Idaho potatoes
-melted butter for brushing each layer
-half and half to cover potatoes
-nutmeg
-salt pepper to taste
-oil for frying

-2 tbsp garlic powder
-4 tbsp kosher salt
-2 tsp citric acid

4:00 Just incase someone doesn’t know: don’t drop your potatoes super high like in this video. He’s doing it for aesthetic, but trying that at home may lead to severe burns.

These youtube chefs. 😢. Ok this is not a " gratin" its a Dauphinouise. Its a french layered potatodisch. A " gratin" is a very different thing. Ps " flakeysalt is overhyped,overused and just becomming boring .
