    There’s something so fascinating on theese oldtimer airplanes ❤️ Like using so many kinds of procedures, like counting, that’s unbelieveable. Good old mechanical machine, which requires inteligent and skilled pilots. J

    What happens if engine is hydro locked due to oil.

      It'll just do what any radial does in that situation and basically destroy it from the inside

      I believe these engines (r985 junior wasps) on at least some of these planes that have been reworked have a clutch that will slip when hydrolock occurs.

      Really enjoyed the instruction. Always loved the goose. This goose flew for Amphibian Air Transport to Catalina island in the 1940s! Glad to see her air worthy again. She sat in that museum for a long time.
