- The perfect Italian scooter...They are fun to drive and pretty slow so who needs a front brake? This is a little Sunday ride on my new mint condition Italian toy. Nice weather and expensive gas prices. What else does a man need?!

It takes a lot to decrease the idle, there's some issue with the carb or an air leaking for sure. Except fot that, it's lovely, you also must take care of the frame and the rust. This model was the first one on which i put my hands, it's special for me, take care and have fun riding it. Greetings form Italy!
These carbs are very primitive and don't have an indeling needle. Mine does the same thing
@@mote8085 Or is the carb partially faulty or there's some leaking... 100% sure about this, i put my hands on severals of these carbs, i had some with issues and it was not possible to perfectly set the engine for a perfect running. But with the ones which worked correctly i was able to get very low minimum idle , low consumption and a perfect performance in every regime of running, contextualised to the age of the engine and of the carb type
@@fausto3118 could be for sure some gunk or a small air leak. I actually never have looked into it because it is my very reliable daily driver.
@@Tomology first rule of the vespa is to enjoy it! these machines are made to run and to make kms, have a nice riding!
In vespa engines I recommend you to use an excellent mineral oil such as motul 100 or shell advance sx 2t, because it creates less sludge and lubricates better than synthetic oils which are designed for modern engines with high revs.
yeah but if you have an improoved or tuned engine?
Looks like a fun little moped. I'd love to take a ride with it around the city

geweldig geluid, geen andere brommer heeft dit.
Heerlijk, en dat geluid van de vespa motor heerlijk, jeetje wat mis ik dat. heb jaren een vespa pk50xl schakel gehad.
Maar ooit ga ik er mij weer één aankopen.
Hoop dat je haar weer in oude staat gaat herstellen. Top!
ik ga dr waarschijnlijk van de winter wat liefde geven :) zijn geweldige dingen
leuk om te zien dat er nog mensen op oude Vespa's rond rijden👍.

jaa zijn prachtige iconische dingen! kon laatst deze voor een prikkie overnemen van iemand. van de winter maar eens restaureren :)
Ben ook aan het kijken voor een pk50, wel eerder scooter/brommertjes gehad, maar deze nog nooit. Heb je nog tips voor de aankoop en waar op gelet moet worden, heb van deze weinig verstand maar gigantisch mooi oud scootertje, waarbij je na het opknappen een top ding hebt!
ligt eraan wat je er allemaal aan moet doen en natuurlijk wat je kan. de meeste zijn opknappertjes maar het is natuurlijk mooi meegenomen als ze motorisch al goed in orde zijn. als het frame zelf maar goed is, de rest is wel ergens te koop ;)
Bij een PK50 maakt het niet uit hoe ie er uit ziet, blijft een mooi ding. Wat heb je er voor betaald?

Hij lijkt best lekker op te trekken. Hoe hard loopt deze ? En is het tandwiel in de eindoverbrenging al aangepast?
47kmh en is nog volledig origineel niks aan veranderd

nee geen tijd voor gehad en ben het ook niet meer van plan. idd extra koel ;)

Wonderful scooter and video - thank you for sharing! I just got my PK50 back on the road (also in Rosso red) after 30 years and I love it :-) Are you in the Netherlands btw? I often travel there (from France) and may bring my PK next time...
thanks! yes I am Dutch. It's a very nice scooter for the cities and you grab lots of peoples attention :) fell in love with it and I'm looking for a px or older 150 model now

In italia se vai con un motore nella pista ciclabile ti fanno la multa... LOL
in the Netherlands this model is not qualified as a motorcycle, but as a moped. sometimes you have to go on the bike lane :)
