As usual Adrian great video and expertly explained, I've said it before but you have a way about you that makes people want to listen to you, I am surprised that the TV guys have not been in touch to make a family farming program you would be a natural, sheer looked a good piece of kit and easy to work with, no disrespect intended, Nicole has really grown this year you could really see that when she was sitting beside you in the tractor this time next year she will be running the show, I hope you and all your family have a wonderful Christmas good luck to you all,
Sooner av Scot’s woman on itv who u need sub tittles to understand and a double act on bbc in morning spinning wheel of fortune for them idiots what phone in at £2 plus
Ya we had the TV opportunity this year but didn’t go with it as my life does be quite busy as is, and it’s not really the type of person i am. My wife would disagree but i don’t have any regrets, the door was left open for us for next year so we have time to think things over. I love what we have going here as it’s simple and enjoyable. Thanks very much mate I appreciate the encouragement and support. Have a great Christmas and 2023
Firstly, Merry Christmas to you and your family, and thank you for all your wonderful videos, You should really re consider the TV option, your industry needs professional people like you to who can explain Dairy farming, without being overly technical.
I don't know. TV is nearly yesteryear. The polished produced to death effort...something not as connected as what you do Adrian if that makes sense.. you'd be brilliant of course you're a born natural but Any Irish TV show would really struggle to week on week hit your views. .
I've had the Tanco bale shear for the last four years and I think it's the best loader implement in the yard, it's a super job. You will develop a "knack" over time and it's super easy to use. Keep the loader up and when cutting the bale, let the first half of the bale fall to the ground without the plastic touching the ground. Partly flattened bales should be reshaped by rolling and pressing down before picking up by grab. It's a very safe grab to use and easy to place out the silage. When fully closed, it's very handy to push in silage without any danger to the cattle. Don't leave this one go, you'll be delighted with it.
It is definitely a good machine for sure, I have used it now for about 20 or so and have gotten much better at it. The splitter is just so handy in that double shed though so it’s a decision I’ll have to make next year. I’m great that we got the chance to try them out though
Great piece of kit. After several years with our Tanco I cannot imagine the amount of time I've save not having to jump on and off the loader to cut bales. Once you figure out a way to use it that works for you, you'll never look back.
Well done Adrian, I had a Tonco bale wrapper meny year's ago, they were a very helpful company to deal with posting out spare parts and so on, They treated me with the same respect as if I was a big contractor or something, Hope they are still like that, also iv noticed you are gone over 80 sub's, am I right in saying that makes you the Biggest farming utube channel in Ireland, well disarved and Congrats 👏👌👍👍
Yes loads of people saying the there back up is very good which is really important. I’m growing to like it as it fits in everywhere I need to take it. Yes our subscriptions have rising a lot but I would never want to have that BIGGEST title as all farming channels are very equally as important so our industry gets the proper advertising it needs. Thank you and have a great 2023
Good Bagnelstown made piece of equipment, Carlow was always heavily involved in farm equipment and still are big time, great staff... anyone on here that used to work in Tullow Farm Machinery?
I find quick connectors on the ends of the drop down hose's in the parlour are a godsend, just unplug the gun and let the water drain off. The layer of net under the silage is a common thing now with all modern balers. With fully auto balers once the buzzer goes off the net will often start before you have stopped and the last of the grass has been pulled in. Turned it off on the last baler I had 😄
Lift the loader higher when opening the bale. That way when you slice it, the plastic won't get stuck on the ground under the bale when it drops down if that makes sense. After a month of owning one, you'll have it to a tee. We love ours
It’s works better for us for sure but if I had a teleporter and diet feeder I’d go with the Keltec. Just different different farms suit different machines I guess
Another video explained so well and easy to follow. I liked the tanco grab a lot and if I had to buy one I think that would be it. Have a great Christmas and keep up the great videos.
We had a keltek bale shear on demo 2 years ago and the issue we had was the tractors hydraulic pump is dying and it didn’t have the flow to push the sheer through the bale then hold the plastic so we kept dropping bales with plastic still on in the mixer wagon ( the zago wagons aren’t that good from our experience but that’s something else) so if you don’t have the hydraulic flow you will drop the bale with the plastic still on
See wen u got the steamed up windows wen it’s wet if u turn on the air con with the heat on the windows will clean off in couple a mins it’s great job.
As I said a few months back Adrian we have an I73, when you got the Johnston sheargrab. We wouldn't use anything else. Compact and splits bale nicely in two halves, reduces the risk of heating if sitting in passage a few days. Set the bale on the ground first before cutting through, then just roll it over.
Warmest Greetings from New Zealand ☺️ Excellent presentation and information 👏👏👏You really do have to be a jack of trades in farming where possible 😅 plus working all hours in different weather conditions. Am enjoying your videos 😊 and the very best to you and your family 😁 Thanking you and others for time and effort spent for the viewer’s, it’s much appreciated 🙏🌻🙌🌷👍🌼 NZ
Great video Adrian nice bit of kit that will save some time putting the silage bales out you will not need to get out of the tractor 🚜 when it is raining. Merry Christmas to you and your family hope you all have a great day 🎅🎅🎅🎅
I have a wee bit of advice for you when catching the bales plastic. It sometimes doesn't catch fully so tilt the loader back and open the grab fully and then close it this will allow the clamp to recatch the plastic
Question for you, in the passageway where you have cattle on both sides (12 minutes into video), once the cattle have eaten as far as they can reach the first day, do you have any way to push the silage into them without doing it by hand. Any machine attachment?
Its unreal, my brother was in Finland recently and it was -26 but the air was really dry, snow was like saw dust. He reckoned -6 here was worse cause of the moisture we have in the air 🥶
If you lift the bale higher of the ground when opening it the silage will fall on the ground an plastic will still be in the air meaning the silage won't fall on top of the plastic when opening it. That's the way I use a pro dig shear grab that can grab the plastic aswell
Wishing u adrian and ur family a happy Christmas and health and happiness to ye all for 2023.thank u so much for all ur videos over the past 12 months.we look forward to them.all the best and enjoy the Christmas with ur beloved 👪 👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
Merry Christmas from north central USA with -10F fridged Christmas Day to you and your whole family Adrian. The floor in your parlor looks great. Love every video and learn so so much from you!!
Happy Christmas to you.and.family.relly Enjoy watching you' at work Gus when reared on farm always in ya.from Jerry in NY original from moyne if no place later
Merry Christmas to you and yours buddy and a happy new year. Looking forward to seeing your journey in the new year with the cottage and other bits. Cheers mate
Merry Christmas. Hi Adrian Just a thought have you considered a front loader to 3. Point adapter then you could use your McHale bale slicer on the loader. Also handy for moving implements. Thanks. Love your channel. All the best.
Well adrian the company I used to work for did this for a customer and it only lasted for 2 weeks . The customer took it off .said they just couldn't watch it ..while on 3 point linkage your max height is controlled .not when it's on the loader the rail over 2doorways got hit ..small corrections in the steering are a massive movement when the blade is down .I think nearly 12 ft from the front wheel to the tip of the blade when it's down . If your gonna try it I would advise bolting it on and not welding brackets Anyway adrian and family ho ho ho and a merry Christmas to all
Could do with a heater to put in parlour ok it might cost a bit to run but it will save time we got a halogen heater hung up in parlour it worked a treat
07:49 Cows in the background: Uh, we see the bales. Are those for us? Cause we are just DYING of hunger. No really. You haven't fed us in like 4 days. Cud? No, this isn't cud, we're chewing on our own tongues. ;D I love see you do all these things for the first time yourself! It's nice to know someone else can be awkward doing things the first time.
Merry Christmas Adrian, hope you have a good one! Great video as usual, I could watch a full series from you on each different shear grab there is, (been trying to convince my Dad to get one - he’s old fashioned and thinks getting in and out of the tractor is best 😂) hope you try the Cashels one with the vertical hooks, but I think you’ll end up putting your own on the front.
Great video as always Adrian 👍 Happy Christmas to you and your family and thanks for taking the time to bring us along with your farming journey so far👏😁
It's Christmas morning Adrian, Merry Christmas to you and the family! I so enjoy your videos and commentary. That looks like a really cool piece of kit. Good review. My best to you and the family for a wonderful happy prosperous Christmas and New Year

Great piece of kit. After several years with our Tanco I cannot imagine the amount of time I've save not having to jump on and off the loader to cut bales. Once you figure out a way to use it that works for you, you'll never look back.
The only thing is if you want to avoid pink eye then bales should be open the previous day.
Love our tanco grab had it ten years now , once you get the hang of it it’s brilliant attachment for saving time.
I must say that tractor looks amazing. Just stunning. Merry Christmas!!! Hope you all had an amazing day
Hope you and your extended family have a great time over the festive season Adrian 👍

Love your videos. Something really honest about you. No BS, very entertaining. Continued success and happy new year 🥳
Thank you Billy, I like to be a straight as I can, it’s way more enjoyable that way. Have a great 2023 lad 👍

I find a quick

I wish I had enough timber to justify buying this splitter.. an amazing relaxing way to spend an hour!
All the best for 23 Adrian and all you're family.

Exactly
Thanks for the tip David 👍
Nice peace of kit, it seems to be the best one so far. You seem to have better control and it is much neater
It’s works better for us for sure but if I had a teleporter and diet feeder I’d go with the Keltec. Just different different farms suit different machines I guess
