And due to the way the game mechanics worked, it was just an amazingly intense feeling to stalk a lonely fool in the Abyss, silently glide over him, then drop down on a ledge and the same millisecond you hit your hotkey for charged shot, the music starts like in this video. BAM.
Aion has been a never ending source of amazement back when I played... Always a ton to watch out for, be it the beauty of the scenery or a world boss strolling around
I love how abyss battle themes clash with the other tracks of the game, giant wars for Fortresses and artifacts, potential enemy players hidden in every corner of this giant doomed space, the Abyss is serious business

abyss was the best solo/group/guild pvp zone in the frkn map and they throw it to the trash like it was nothing. hopefully it will come back in a new update. loved that freakin abyss.
Aion had an amazing soundtrack. I loved the Abyss & I loved the PvP in there. I remember questing there & Asmo's coming to kill me trying to survive by killing them or running away. And the music there was perfect for feeling immersed in those situations.

I miss playing Aion on retail..I mean, I have EuroAion to play on, but it's just not the same feeling tho, and I want to play again 5.x versions :c. I remember playing on NA as an EU and had to wake up at 5 a.m to do UA sieges, or staying awake up to 2 a.m to do Kaldor Siege, good times... 🥹

And Eltnen desert was second - best pvp land map if you ask me. S o big and so open, mobs etc hardly got in the way.
@@sairentov not totally trashed but lost most of its population due to being just a "old leveling area" so you cant completely access it as before
