People really don't know the man, but Heavy D was really such a Classy, Classy guy. A real Gentleman. Great manners, strong, true man.
I'm so glad that Heavy got an opportunity to perform on the BET Awards before his death. The younger generation got an opportunity to see why we all fell in love with him in the first place. RIP Heavy. Prayers to your family, especially your daughter.
Heavy D should be talked about a lot more than he is. Folks really don't know the span of his success. I remember being on the elementary school bus and hearing Heavy D through the bus speakers. I grew up in Hawaii so it was a huge deal to hear any rap on the radio there. Back then, most musicians remained local because there wasn't any XM radio. Heavy D was the man. I would hear him and MC Hammer on the radio. #Salute He danced and rapped. And it was cool. Thanks Heavy D 💪🏾💪🏾💪🏾
Heavy D was one of the many awesome early Hip Hop artists who made me fall in love with Hip Hop. You and your talent will sorely be missed!
Heavy D was and will always be one of our most respected and classy acts to have ever entered the business. Not only that, he was a humble, smart and caring dude and loved and provided for his mom, like a son should! Love and condolences goes out to his family, friends, true fans and close associates! He's another one gone waaaay too son!
How many people can say they did songs with Tupac,Michael Jackson and Biggie? My man Heavy D did it Thumbs up for a true Icon in Hip Hop..

It was pretty much a freak occurence. Deep Vein Thrombosis broke from his leg and made it to his lungs, giving him a pulmonary embolism.
Peaceful Journey is one of my favourite tracks of Heavy D and Hip Hop sometimes i get sad by listening to it.RIP Heavy D
