- Another simple project I made. Just heard it on my way home from school and remembered such memories... it's certainly among the best songs for ladies, you can see from the title (though it takes too much space as it is too long)...

Every time I watch Carrie and see the dance between Carrie and Tommy and this song plays, I feel total butterflies in my stomach. I want so much for Carrie to find true love, but feel heartbroken because I know what's going to happen everytime.
I've been known to stop the film when she gets given the flowers on stage, or to fantasise that when decorating, Sue and Frieda find the buckets, figure it out and replace them with buckets of glittery streamers

All I think of is the happiness on Miss Carrie White's face. The one time that she felt acceptance and even that was taken from her selfishly in a matter of minutes. If only I went to her school, she would've been accepted then.
A beautiful song that i used to sing even without someone pertaining to. Several years has past the man that i have been waiting, that suits for every line of this song finally came but we belong to someone else.
Amazing that this beautiful song wasn't nominated for an Academy Award in 1976. "Carrie" garnered nods for Sissy Spacek and Piper Laurie, and this should have gotten one as well. Memorable tune, enhanced by the sweet voice of Katie Irving. The lyrics perfectly describe the emotions inside the main character---hardly a monster. The real monster is the cruelty displayed by the 'in crowd'.....and sadly, by Carrie's own mother. If you can locate the soundtrack album or cd, there's another very nice ballad sung by Miss Irving, as well as a nifty score by Pino Dinaggio.
Everyone should realize what Stephen King was trying to elaborate on here with this movie... Highschool *girl* troubles... And probably woman too who get bullied..
And that *everyone* has a breaking point... Am I right?!👍
And this beautiful song just before Carrie's *snap* shows how powerful a song can be❤️

As a guy i find this song so beautifully done because alot of guys never realize that most girls/women feel this way. They just want that 1 moment for us guys to notice them and only them while in that moment they just want to feel like the most beautiful girl in the room. The movie Carrie showed it best when she danced with Tommy and felt like her hurt, broken and lonely world didn't exist cuz she was in a loving magical world of her own and he (Tommy) made her feel like that. When I fall in love; my girl will be that girl in the picture because it will be me who will feel like we've been lovers all our lives...cuz I dream of her.

A local theater is playing Carrie next month, and I’m really looking forward to going. I was too young to see it on the big screen in 1976, but since that time have watched it countless times on VHS - and later on RUclips. It’s one my favorite movies, and it’ll be an honor to finally see it with an audience.

It was in the rolling 70's where hippies and the poppies , the birds and the bees, the cocaine and opium abound.
