As a fellow Ohioan it’s nice to see someone else who appreciates creek fishing and respecting the fish as well. Great editing btw, cutting out all the filler. Keep up the good work.
@@creeksforweeks5690 absolutely, I appreciate authentic creators who aren’t trying to be “over the top” with their presentation and being genuine. Also, I appreciate the care you show to the fish by practicing catch and release.
That kinda looks like four mile or seven mile creek, I'm from Middletown, originally, not there now, in KY now. But I've fished about every place I know of in and around Middletown, Hamilton, etc. some creeks are better than others around there. Been to a lot places just to catch bait to fish in the Great Miami, for flatheads.i usually had to go over to the spillway at Caesars Creek to catch any good bait, there's not much in Middletown, places been fished to death, like Dix Creek, well some places are alright, certain times of year. But I'm an old man now, haven't done any fishing around there since the early 2000's. Even the Great Miami.
I think I may get that one when one of my reels eventually craps out. I'm glad you enjoyed the video and I'm gonna try to keep up with the video demand haha.
That was some awesome creek fishing for sure. Sir just want to say thanks and appreciate all you go through making these awesome videos for us all to enjoy and learn from. I mean just for you to make a 15 or 20 minute video for us to enjoy may take you half a day or more. So I just wanted you to know that you are appreciated and all that you go through making these awesome videos is worth it keep them up can't wait to see what is next's. Well till then GodBless and Tight Lines.
I always had great luck in my local creek with micro crankbaits from cabela's. I didn't expect much but anything between chubs and crappie have come out for them!
Thank you, I really appreciate the support there. I'm trying to mix things up, but creek fishing is too much fun! Keep giving me the good (or bad) criticism, it really helps!
That's a medium sized fish for that creek. Upsize your lures (ditch the sunfish crankbaits), cast further so you don't spook big fish, and keep the small ones off your hooks.
I agree with all your tips. In this case I was fishing a pretty small creek and I wanted to catch lots of fish of multiple species. The sunfish crankbait was new lure that looked fun. There definitely could be some bigger fish. I appreciate the feedback and thank you for watching!
if you're in the market for a new reel that can handle water, Shimano just released the Nasci FC. it's under $100 and has Core protect which will give it water resistance and help it maintain it's smoothness.
@@wyattmoore3015 Thanks for the invite. Columbus is pretty short drive for me so we'll have to set something up in the future. I know you guys got some good lakes near you.
This weekend is going to be difficult because of the holiday and family stuff. Deer creek is a little bit of a drive for me. Another weekend this summer would be better for sure. I appreciate the invite! Let me know how it goes.
@@creeksforweeks5690 well I always go somewhere June 14th for my birthday for a fishing trip. Not sure where to go this weekend, I live in Columbus. But hey man if you ever do a subscriber or fan special I'm definitely in and can make a drive. Either way. Good luck fishing brother!
@@geeraider7140 I'll hold you to that then. We'll have to schedule a good time to go in the future. All I can say is avoid the big lakes near you this weekend. Its gonna be super crowded most likely. Good luck, wherever you decide to go!
Catching smallmouths in tiny creeks is a blast. Cool video.

love wading for smallmouth in streams. rattle traps my favorite
I’m an ohio based fisherman. It would be nice if you let people know the names of the waters you’re fishing.
I’m in southwest ohio too! I usually fish the great Miami and a couple gravel pits out here in Butler. Small mouth all over
Beautiful stream . Appreciate it .

I love the small cranks so much fun on a light pole
I'm loving this light action 6 ft pole. I can sling around most of the small lures with it. Rebel has some good small cranks, too.
@@creeksforweeks5690 o ya! Iv loved rebel lures since I was a kid
Nice creek fishing adventure, Bro! Simple yet effective fishing technique. Blessings, Rob
Thank You! There's nothing too crazy to do when you're in small creeks.
Great video! The Trions are good reels, I almost use exclusively the next step up, the President. Awesome reels. Good stuff my guy, keep them coming!

Enjoyed that creek walk of yours. Smalljaws are my favorite and I walk the Cuyahoga river and other creeks here in Akron, Oh.
Thank you! You never know what small creeks can hold. I'd imagine some of your creeks have trout up there?
I am in the Akron area also. The stocked rainbow trout at waterworks park in October .
smallies on light tackle are my favs.... they all fight so much. Great video.
Oh yea, the amount of times I say "I got a big one" because of the light tackle is crazy. I'm glad you enjoyed it!
