why did the same thing just happen to me 🤭😭 i waited a year to cut my hair, got it healthy and curly again, did my research, i got there and this lady grabbed the whole crown of my head, chopped it at one length and left the bottom long!! i have a freaking choppy mullet right now, the color is all wrong, just NO. i’m glad you’re turning it around and making the best of it! excited to see what you do with it!
Oh no!!!! Wow!! There’s nothing like our hard work and tender love and care for our hair and having to watch it go down the drain!! I can’t believe they did you like that!! I had a mullet at first and is why I cut it more all to the same length it looked crazy! And thank you so much! It def makes me feel better having a very good understanding for my natural hair now and it makes me so much more confident in this new journey and I know my hair is going to be healthy and grow just as quick as it got cut I got my head up! And I would juts try and find the nearest deva cut near you and have them trim that little bit on the bottom and as far as the color that sucks I hate when a stylist can’t do a correct color I’m so sorry! But I really hope you get your hair to where you love it and def me know when you do!!♥️♥️
Girl I’m so sorry this happened to you! That is just awful and not how anyone should be treated when paying for a service. I had one bad experience and didn’t get a hair cut for over a year. I just went back but to a new salon last year and my faith was somewhat restored, but it’s scary to trust your hair with someone when things like this happen all the time. I think you have a great attitude about it and that you look bomb with short hair! I know it wasn’t the plan but hopefully this big chop will bring on new excitement for the growth process ☺️

Girl I feel you, I've been there. It a risk every time I go to a different stylist. I learned that I always call or text ahead and give them the business with my twenty questions including: What products do you use? Do you have any silicone and sulfate free products? I have curly hair and only wear it curly are you comfortable cutting my hair? You should know that for every inch you cut my hair shrinks 1 to 2 inches. I tell them ahead of time what products I normally use and what products I know are not good for my hair (ex. Heavy oils) I did my big chop in September. I am letting it grow out again but think I need a cut ✂️ just to clean up the shape and add some volume. I love my hair but also not to attached to the length, so I haven't cried after a bad cut yet, but I have cringed with stylists who do the opposite of what I say. One hair stylist left my hair limp as heck after using heavy oils and brushing my hair with those little combs. The hair was uneven as heck but then I fixed it the day afterwards.

I actually just found out that ulta now does cuts for curly hair and style and all of that so I actually went and got a cut and color and it was a great visit! I found an actual stylist I can return to! Haha
Hey girl , I don’t know if I missed it in the video but did you go to a deva curl stylist? If not, you should go to one that just specializes in curly hair maybe you can avoid mistakes like this. When I got my curly hair cut in 2019 I went to one near me after reading great reviews. Can’t wait to see your hair journey! ❤️

I tried to cut it my self curl by curl kinda like a deva cut I think but they do have a stylist that cuts curly hair but it’s like 2 hours from me and thinking about it now I really should have waited and set up a day to take that day trip and get it done but I got up was like I’m getting a cut and that was that lol next time when my hair grows all back I’m 100 percent taking that trip ! Haha and thank you so so much girl ♥️

Girl. PTSD for real. I'm in need of a trim soon, but I had this experience the last time I went also (despite me using her for the last 10 years, she still did me dirty). I'll be going to someone else. However I've found a few people who have curly hair themselves AND do CURLY CUTS. So when I work up the courage, I'm going there. Idc how much it costs, lol. You are still so cute, so don't trip on that. You could still pull it off, just next time go to someone that you feel comfortable with and can do what you want.

I went to a hair salon after deliberating for months. I made a spur of the moment decision to just make an appt because if I didn’t I wouldn’t have done it! Lol but anyway, the girl did soooo well because her daughter is a natural and she cuts her hair often. I took a lot more than what I wanted off but I’m so happy I did. I went from butt length (super stringy and damaged ends) to a little below shoulder bouncy curls. Man was it a shock but I was so happy I did! I got the volume I wanted and it was so soft! I can’t wait to see your short hair. It might inspire me to go shorter. 🤔

Hey girl! I enjoy your videos but tbh when I was in cosmetology school I never and I really do mean never had any experience with doing natural hair. Like that state board book and standards for my school taught us how to straighten and or perm natural hair. That’s it. Now there are actually cosmetology schools that focus on natural hair specifically.
Hey girl! That sucks I really wish they would at least offer it as an option for those who want to be a little more Hands on with natural hair. I get it tho. im so glad they have schools for natural hair at least tho that is so dope! I feel like If my bank account was set up right I’d go! 😂
You have every right to be mad, and what gets me is that they never listen! Just do what someone asked you to do and that’s it! Or at least explain what you’re going to do or any other ideas you may have! But don’t just do what you want🤦🏽♀️
