on vdj you can change the operation of the knobs. I mapped the high/low pass filter instead of the gains. from the settings look for the controller map and then from there vary the command it is very simple. then save a custom map

Are you talking about the transition at about 2:30? If yes it is really easy to do. I'm using the high pass filters (mapped on the the original gain knobs) so i can blend smootly the two tracks. Songs are in metric and on a compatible key. Before the end of the transition (when i close completly the crossfader) i used a beatjump of 32 beats to jump in a more consistent part of the track. I use serato dj lite or virtual dj. No matter what software you use the behavieor is always the same. Software doesn't matter.
ah ok. first at 1:09 i turn on the echo effect, at 1:14 a play a bit with hi/low pass filter, at 1:20 i added a delay effect in the meantime i'm keep using the hi/pass filter at 1:23 i added also a bit of roll waiting the right metric point to turn all off at 1:25.
thank you sooooo much. I found there are very few videos teaching how to make those kind of fancy transitions using this dj controller. if you make a one, i guess it could gain popularity.

I never used recordbox or tracktor. I know you can map the controller on recordbox (not the jog).
