The Russian actress doing the queen/witch is very good. She's got the witch's laugh down perfectly- nearly identical to the American version played by Lucille Lavern.
I'm 15 and it's 1 in the morning and I'm still to scared to watch this scene right now. It's paused and I'm debating if I should press the play button.
I don't think the Soviets allowed Disney movies to be shown in Russian theaters back in the 50s, but if they did Snow White would probably have made the cut. Evil royals plotting to destroy a pretty, pure but proletariat woman, it could be made to fit with their ideology given a few changes. Maybe Snow White could end up working in a factory instead of becoming a Princess at the end.
@@Puppetgirl93 In North America, certain parts of Europe, South America and Australia, yes it was released in 1937 (1938 more broadly). Most of the world didn't see it till later on. More Americans probably saw it with the 1944 re-release. With Russia specifically - it wasn't officially dubbed into Russian until 2001. HOWEVER - it was shown in Russia in the 1950's with the French dub and Russian subtitles. It was an unofficial release not supported by Disney. I believe the footage was stolen during the war
Not too keen on the Queen's voice (she doesn't sound that much older than Snow White, imo) but her hag form sounds awesome, kind of reminds of Lucille La Verne's take.
So let me get this straight. The Queen wants to usurp Snow White's position as the most beautiful woman in the land, so she takes a potion to disguise herself as an ugly old hag. Doesn't that kind of defeat the object?
I always wondered how the Queen was gonna change herself back after she killed Snow White. Did she have like a reverse potion or would the effect of the disguise potion wear off in like 24 hours or what? If anyone has anay idea or own opinion pls tell me :)
Вроде только облик изменила. Но её поведение, эмоции и любое движение совсем не соответствует королеве внутри. Будто она реально такой была всегда, а то, первое, маска.
WHY is she so desperate to be the fairest in the land anyway? It's not like it's doing her any favours! She never leaves her palace, and there are no hoardes of men lining up to see her!
wait she wants to kill snow white becasue shes the fairest in the land...and she does this by changing into and old crow who is about as attractive as a pile of manure...um queenie now just about anyone is fairer than you

In Russian this adds another dimension of intrigue, evilness and sophistication . How marvellous was this actress ❤
The Queen's voice in Russian is adorable!

''mirror mirror on the wall, who's the fairest of them all?'' haha i love that one :D
her face at 3:59 used to give me nightmares as a kid. Looking back, it now just puts a smile on my face :) Great dub!
It was funny when the Queen in Russia said, "My balls!" LOL! 😂😂😂
haha it does sound like that - but she's actually saying "my voice" in Russian. "Moy golos"
Actually, if you translate Moy golos phrase in English, she said "My voice".

Wow!! Russians really done good on this dub!
In Soviet Russia, mirror looks at you.
Wonderful Classic Disney... Great Clip..!!
@Akopolipse I thought of that too! Even if she did kill Snow White, the after math would end up on the Queen not being the fairest of all anyway.
Look at those navy blue curtains with the gold moon and stars people. In the UK, that pattern was very popular mid 1990s lol!
It's sounds sooo evil in russian ;)
that part has a;ways been my fav
3:11 shes like... "my balls" hahah
This scared the hell out of me as a kid! #Freddysparascope
Very interesting how they translated the line "Who is the fairest one of all?"
Best ever bit of Disney the crow in the skull when I was little I used to rewind :) and pee myself haha
I Like Snow White You Know The Queen Was Talking To The Bird
@FinallyImIn1 You mean the woman who dubbed Ursula in the Disney version of The Little Mermaid?
Dude she's one scary thing!! :/ I remember as a kid when I first saw this cartoon I totally freaked out!! :D
Wouldn't it have been easier to just transform herself into Megan Fox?

This movie came out in 1937 though

Hahahahaha! Apparently not only the one who watches, but the other one who can identify what kind of movie that is too, hahahaha! XD cheers to that
@aaa333ify before or after? xD

Well i assume if she wouldn't fall of the cliff and ran away then she would make potion to make her back beautiful
There in lies the moral. Jealousy takes away all good sense
This scene scared the crap out of me as a kid, it's somehow 10 times more creepy in Russian.
I remeber whatching this when i was little
this scared the shit outta me when i was a little kid....I'm 17 about to be 18 in several weeks and it still scares the shit outta me lol

Most likely she had a way to turn back
They’ll have to explain this in the upcoming live action reboot

“We all wear masks, Spider-man. But which one is real? The one that hides your face? Or the one that is your face?”- Green Goblin
GO TO THE STORE AND GET A COSTUME THEREREEEE!!!!!!
I watched this when I was six and had nightmares for two years straight!
This Russian feels like 1988.3
@DanielMovieMaker it was however in the 60's it was remastered a few times and some more creepy and adult stuff had been taken out by the FCC
A disguise, or her true form?
@SadronAphaderuiondur
I think you mean, "The Russians did very well on the dubbing."
Snow White And The Seven Dwarfs (1937) The Evil Queen's transformation
I'll be the first to admit, it's a bitch to learn. Just now trying to recover.
Is the Queen voiced by Anastasija Minckovskaja?
Anna Burturlina
You wonder what happened in her past to become so insecure and evil🤔
Does she also voice the crone?
2:48 sounds like... another kind of movie...Yeah!
What kind of movie?

WHY is she so desperate to be the fairest in the land anyway? It's not like it's doing her any favours! She never leaves her palace, and there are no hoardes of men lining up to see her!
