And the way he confidently looked in the eyes of Dalmi at the party despite knowing that he lacks confidence and can't look into the people's eyes directly is sooo heartwarming ❤ Cant wait for ep 3. I know everybody wants Jipyeong for Dalmi cuz he wrote the letters with the help of Dalmi’s grandma. But THE REAL DOSAN is so pure, bright, and also a fighter like Dalmi. Honestly, he’s a better match for Dalmi personality wise and perspective. Dosan wears his heart and feelings on his sleeves and even before meeting up with Dalmi at the party, he already was drawn by her the first time he saw her. Then again in this scene, he refused Jipyeong’s money offer. But Dalmi’s message to him moved him..her words touched his heart and he wanted to help Dalmi and only Dalmi. That alone gives Dosan bonus points and made me Team DoDal. Jipyeong is a good guy and maybe he’s in denial stage, but come on dude for years?? If he did like her or does like her, he shouldn’t have send the letters with Dosan’s name. Let alone have the real Dosan try to pretend to be “LETTER DOSAN” to save face and not be discovered by Dalmi. If he liked her, wouldn’t it be better if he just revealed himself already? I understand Dalmi fell for letter Dosan aka Jipyeong..and that is her ideal first love. But like I said, he should have revealed himself earlier than continue using Dosan’s name let alone have the real Dosan pretend to be him. Also, how can anyone not like or love Dosan? He’s just so lovable, funny, and pure. Judging from the ep 3 and 4, even Dalmi is pleasantly surprised by NORMAL DOSAN. Who doesn’t mind sitting on a bench at han river eating ramen. Who doesn’t always wear suits and goes to book stores to read, and who rides the bus with her. He’s not really at all what she thought he was cuz he was supposed to be HOT SHOT CEO. Which made everything even more great in the end of ep4 when Dosan admits to Dalmi that he’s not rich and isn’t a CEO. Dalmi didn’t get angry at him cuz she knew he wasn’t rich and she understood why he pretended. Despite it all, she still wants to see him and work with him as partners as well as get to know THE REAL DOSAN (who isn’t the rich CEO). I wonder if she also knows about the letters though.. maybe she doesn’t? But whatever the case may be.. Dalmi seems to be really intrigued and has fallen for Dosan as much as Dosan has fallen for her.
Then there’s Jipyeong who basically was the bridge for Dosan and Dalmi. The more he continues on this path, the more it’s going to hurt for him.. if he does has true feelings for Dalmi. But you know like I said.. Dosan knew his heart right away and followed his heart. Jipyeong is denying what he feels and that’s going to hurt him in the end. The Real Dosan has flew into Dalmi’s heart with his real personality. Dalmi’s first love and vision of it was hotshot rich CEO Jipyeong through the letters. But when she met REAL DOSAN, she ended being impressed and related to him so well. Even when she finds out that HE’S NOT RICH. The fact that both Dalmi and Dosan finds motivation/courage within each other to step outside their comfort zone and trust in each other even when it’s actually their first time meeting, that’s truly something incredible and special.

the thing is, i don't think jipyeong liked dalmi SINCE before. maybe he liked her as a friend because maybe he felt comforted by dalmi's letters too because he didn't have friends as well. but that's about it. unlike dalmi who really got attached to the "nam do san" she wrote letters to, i don't think jipyeong felt the same way. but now he is just STARTING to have feelings for her because he's getting to know her better, like how caring and thoughtful she is with her remembering and granting his birthday wish and all that.
you asked why he didn't use his real name? again, he never wanted to write those letters in the first place. the grandma asked him to do so. he thought of himself lowly back then and both he and the grandma thought dalmi needed a friend who has their shit together. someone like nam dosan from the newspaper-a smart boy/young achiever who looked like he had a great future head of him, and with a good family, because the letters were supposed to give dalmi comfort and hope, and jipyeong didn't think he met those requirements, thus the fake identity. i mean, isn't this almost the same reason behind catfish/posers on the internet? they hide under fake identities because they don't think they're pretty enough or good enough? something like that. plus, why stop there at using his real name? why not just meet and hangout like real friends? he's just staying there at the grandma's after all.
well in the first place, if he just used his real name, then we wouldn't have a story because nam dosan would remain a total stranger to all of them lol. besides, being in denial, never confessing your feelings, and protecting the girl from afar fit the second male lead description anyway so yeah

One of my favorite scenes. This is the moment that Suzy’s inner personality touched him and he decided to go because he felt like he could do anything with her words. She was vulnerable and I hope he does the same at one point. He’s pure and innocent like her, so hopefully the story develops well. And our second lead...I’m sorry, but please support them well.

I didn't know it's the writer of Dream High! Omg. it remains my no. 1 kdrama of ALL time and Suzy is my no. 1 actress. I'm loving the two episodes so much and because I love these two leads so much, I know this will be a hit. Also Dream High came out in 2010 and it's 2020 now. It was my lucky year so I feel like this drama will bring me something wonderful. Makes me feel so good! ❤✨🌹

Start-Up is seriously amazing !!! it will make you laugh, cry, smile .... full of emotions T.T also both Suzy and Nam Joohyuk were already good at acting but they just keep on improving !!! They have brought Dalmi and Dosan to LIFE
Ooh love their acting, love his innocence and his show of stubbornness particularly when he's telling the guy {impersonator} that he wants him to put them into Sandbox. He has lot of inner strength and the same with Suzy. Empower yourselves and you can achieve your goals!!

This is why I am Team Nam Do San from the beginning. When Han Ji Pyeong refused Do San’s request, Do San still went to Dal Mi. I am glad Nam Do San ends up with Seo Dal Mi!

He is amazing, their is something in him that make his acting simply superb.
That letter was meant to be read by NDS. That letter was meant to be the one that will move Dosan. The envelope as revealed in Ep 15 has a “I am writing to the one I love” plus inside there was “True Love” and Dalmi’s True Love did appear after reading this specific letter.

One of the most beautifully made dramas 😭 has the potential to become an 인생 드라마, the scene leading up to the networking scene and the 등장 scene is so iconic
I like the casts, the cinematography, the story, the OST, i like everything about this drama. Such a masterpiece. And i can totally relate to Dalmi who wants to succeed but doesn't have a clear goal. Doesn't know what, how and when to start. 😂
