The metaphor for the plant is so important. Dal Mi gifted that plant to Do San. Do San isn't sentimental like that. It was a gift to him but he left it behind. Never thought about it again. It wasn't anything to him. Meanwhile, Jipyeong cherishes it because it was from Dal Mi. He tried to get rid of it when he was called jealous to prove hes not. It was literally handed back to him. Meaning he can't get rid of his feelings like that. He tries to get rid of it again. Dal Mi intervenes and tells him that she's going to be there for him because she likes how nosy he is and will be nosy with him the same way while handing him the bag he needs to get rid of it. Either he can believe her and choose to cherish these feelings or get rid of it with the bag she handed him. He buys plant food and completely has been taking care of it since. IT'S HONESTLY SO BEAUTIFUL. They keep showing him taking care of the plant. He's taking care of it, he's cherishing it, he's letting his feeling grow. Dal Mi and Jipyeong have all the best parallels and symbolism on the show and I feel like it the catch is... it all amounts to nothing if you don't act on it. Jipyeong has never made a move. His wall is all the way up. He's traumatized. He only lets Dal Mi's grandmother in. In my heart, he's the male lead. He's what if the male lead with the beautiful story and everything set up for him, the girl with the 15 year love towards him and he just never acts on his feelings. It's frustrating. That's how it feels. Frustrating! Jipyeong is a beautiful man and character because Kim Seon Ho is playing him.
Can we have a scene where she goes INSIDE his apartment and notice the plant, and talk about the cheque replica and then having deep conversation about those letters while drinking coffee...awhh my imagination :)
we do not know how long the plant will last since it not only depends on the care given to it, but other factors also come into play, but despite this I wonder if Ji Pyeong in this jump of 3 years that will take place will continue taking care of it

I know they're not gonna end up together but can they at least spend a day together with just the two of them. The secret is now out in the open but they never got the chance to talk about the letters and reminisce the old times. ㅠㅠㅠ Dalmi always say what the letters mean to her but we never got to hear from Jipyeong. Sure, he did it for grandma at first but hey they were penpals for like a year, in the long run, pretty sure he grew attached to those letters too. He never threw them away and kept them in good condition after all these years.
He kept the letters so he definitely cherished their bond 15 years ago. It's so frustrating because they showed us that Dal Mi is curious about HJP. There are many instances where she confronted him because I think her intuition is telling her that he's hiding something from her. Then when she found out the truth about the letters, she just hated the idea that it's HJP because she's already into DS? It doesn't make sense! The actors in this drama are actually good but the writer obviously messed up.
I think there will be a DalPyeong scene in the next episode, because Dosan won't be there for 3 years. Also in the preview, Dalmi covered Jipyeong with a blanket, while he's asleep. Huhu, my DalPyeong heart is excited, but hurt at the same time.

I know since last year about this drama and the cast in it. From the beginning I thought the couple would be Nam Joo Hyuk with Suzy and Kim Seon Ho with Kang Hanna. I don't have any interest at the time since I didn't really interested with the synopsis. So I thought I'm not gonna watch it. But when I see the clip about Dalmi and Injae's family separate because of family matter and Injae keep talking about how beautiful it is to live with rich family and leaving their poor father, I start to get interested. The first episode got me fall in love at how amazing Dalmi's father struggling, how shining the little girl called Dalmi for her father, how angelic Dalmi's grandma, and how beautiful JiPyeong's letters. The story seems perfect. I know the letters make it sound cliche and I'm not really interested with the fact. But when the real Dosan join the frame, I started think it's not that cliche anymore. Dosan and Dalmi mean to support each other. When I think about it, I was sure the main lead here mean to be in the friendship line since I couldn't get any romance feeling from them. I tend to be emotional when it comes to romance. And Dalmi with Dosan interaction maybe lovey dovey but I couldn't get any chemistry even after watching their kiss scene, all I see was a mere lust, and everything seems turn in a rush. Even if it is filmed beautifully with the best background and setting, I couldn't get the feeling. Also, everytime I see Dalmi's eyes when she is with Dosan, I could see how empty her eyes and her heart, being with someone that she can't recognise. If I'd be her I'll feel the same. I won't fail to recognise the one I love. The letters tell me everything. Even if I haven't meet the guy. On the other side, everytime she's with JiPyeong, I could see both of them look at each other with deep emotion. Even long before Dalmi know the truth. What I think is, her heart start to recognise who her real love is. And she start to love JiPyeong the way he is. The story continued till the moment Dalmi found out the truth. I love how Dalmi and JiPyeong stood across each other, I love how Dalmi's expression that full shock and disbeliefing, I love JiPyeong's sad emotion turned to be shock while looking at Dalmi. And when Dalmi found out about the truth, her expression become shocked even more than before, I could see her denial expression. On the other side, I could see JiPyeong's expression from shock turn to pained seeing Dalmi seem to deny him. I love his intuition about how he want her so bad to recognise him. Till this time I thought that's how their love processing. In a week, I start to contemplating, which one Dalmi would choose. I know how lovely Dosan is, how caring he is. And how considerate of him to make noongil. But I imagine, even if someone giving me his world, all he has, if I don't love him, so I don't love him. I love someone with who he is, not what he gave me (Dosan's care. If I love him, I'll love him even if he's not that caring with me.) and not what he has (JiPyeong's wealth. If I love him, I'll love him even if he's poor and has many debt.). Love is love. But the story didn't go the way I expected. I start to ask why they show me such deep emotion between Dalmi and JiPyeong if they want to terminate it. Why they goes with Dalmi and Dosan relationship when all I get is a mere friendship. Not one in a bit I could get any romantic tense between the two. And I start to asking, so what's the point she waited till 15 years? If in the end she end up with some random guy with only a name of Nam Dosan. He is a nice guy I know. But if you don't love him, you just don't. Just like drama The King: Eternal Monarch. The male lead keep on finding his love through paralel world. Not even once he would turn to another girl even if it is herself from another paralel world. Heart never be wrong for choosing it's love. It turns out that JiPyeong isn't her first love. It's just the way she believes. Lol. Everyone think that main lead didn't need to be rich and perfect, and Dosan is near with everyone character. I know. I also experience his insecurities. I'm at this stage of life. And I'm not judge him for his role as main lead. It's the story about how he and his friends, include Dalmi get to be success. It didn't have to be romance. But when everyone think he didn't has anything, he is not rich, he deserved Dalmi better than JiPyeong. Lol. What you call his lovely family and his loyal friends are? Also, I don't think JiPyeong's wealth is his perfection. It's a mere property in my eyes. Also, it's not like he wanted to be rich. But it's the way he fought for life, the way he protect his pride so that he doesn't have to depend on anyone else. Not more. He didn't has any friends, he didn't has family. All he did all this time is surviving. I'd be thankful for Dalmi's grandma' presense. Well. It's not my story after all. I could just enjoy it. I keep on searching on Dalmi JiPyeong's bts at least. And find the fact that they didn't make it since knets mad of their bts with no male lead bts. Since that time they keep giving us all male lead bts and no second lead bts since he is just second lead. Lol. Hahaha. It's even not fair since the beginning. It's so funny. Why bother make such deep chemistry if it's just meant to be terminated. Again, it's not my story after all. I just mean to enjoy it. I decided to watch episode 11 proudly. It's a good drama after all. But when I watch the scene when JiPyeong lost himself all alone and Dosan has all his friends in his side. I start crying. It's not a fair game to begin with. And for the first time in my 20 years of life, I cried over jealousy. For a little beautiful scene when Dosan and Dalmi wake up in their old office. My tears didn't stop after the episode end. And I didn't expect I would cry when I didn't feel this painful when I see my crush hang out with his girlfriend. Now, my only hope is JiPyeong being happy with grandma. I really love their chemistry. And they have the best scene in episode 12 from my pov. It's nice seeing him play go stop with Dalmi's family like it is his own too. I know the first lead will be happy together. So please just let him be. Don't let our favourite boy suffering anymore. That's enough. I actually hope he could get any romance line with someone who is understand him the most. When everyone accused him for being harsh. When everyone doubting him. Other than grandma. But having grandma by his side till the end has be quite enough at least. I know my opinion isn't the rightest one. There's so many hole. But for Dosan stan. Please no debating. I'm tired of it now. I don't know how I could watch any kdrama anymore without feeling any afraid of being disappointed. Good for you. You got your stand. Congrats.

I love all Dalmi and Jipyeong's scenes but this one will really be on the top of my favorites. The way he held back his tears when Dalmi appreciated him is so touching and heart breaking at the same time. I know how it feels to be doubting yourself and having atleast one person who appreciates you is more than enough. No matter how I've been disappointed with Dalmi lately because of her lack in curiosity of Jipyeong and the inconsistency of her personality (which is the writer's fault), I still love these small acts that make Jipyeong smile. I know I've been praising Kim Seonho like in every scenes but really, he's acting is very detailed and on point. He amazes me everytime.

The character of Han Ji Pyeong suited Kim Seon Ho. If Seon Ho was given another character to play, I wonder if he will get the same kind of attention. But Seon Ho owned Han Ji Pyeong. He portrayed him so well and became a character that is so loved by many.
He will because he's a good actor, be it drama, comedy or even action. And his charismatic personality shines through even if he's portraying a not-so-likeable character who's hot-tempered and mean sometimes. And it helps that he appears in a variety show because people get to see his adorkable side, proving he has many aspects to his personality that may be endearing to people. He says he likes portraying comedic characters because probably it's closer to his personality, but he can do drama so well even if he's not the lead.

Ji-pyeong is the sand on the ground of the swing. He pushes Dal-mi, encourages her, takes cafe of her and makes sure she's safe. He doesn't intend to receive love from her, he just do it even without being aware that he is doing it. He embodies what true love is. It does not matter if you get repaid, seeing that that someone is okay and happy is the most important. I am still wishing they end up together.

I like all their characters and they play it well. I just don’t like the attitude of the 3 musketeers towards HJP because they’re not even grateful towards his help at least somehow a little thankful but instead Do San is arrogant, insecure and feels threatened by him. I hope those three will oneday realize and thank him for all his efforts in pushing them to succeed! HJP maybe hard with his words but he CARED.

Jipyeong or Jidal stans are now accepting the fate that they're not the endgame. Jipyeong is not really the typical 2nd lead that craves attention to the female lead. He's always distant but Dal Mi is always nosy and initiating these acts. I just want Jipyeong out of this love line because he already proved to us that he can make the storyline interesting without variables like the love triangle.

Dalmi should really end up with this good boy. It’s the writer’s fault that they did not develop Dosan’s character to match his, needless to say, the chemistry, the sparks between Han Jipyeong is amazing from the very start, unlike the one with Dosan, none at all.
You are too focused on everything Ji Pyeong does you’re being unfair to other characters they made Do San’s character like that because its close to reality you can easily relate to it and its refreshing that it’s not the typical rich guy and poor girl kind of drama. In this drama the main character is full of flaws in reality Do San Character are people who are lacking and insecure with their surrounding that’s the writer wants the viewer to understand. You guys telling Ji Pyeong deserves Dal Mi more than Do San is ridiculous why? Because Ji Pyeong always hesitating he missed so many chances and when he finally have the courage Dal Mi’s already in love with the real Nam Do San. This is a little similar to Reply 1988 if only Jung-Hwan confess earlier maybe he may end up with Deok Sun but he didn’t while Taek took the risk even if their friendship is on the line. Both Ji Pyeong and Jung-Hwan deserves them but Do San and Taek deserves them more because they weren’t afraid to show them there feelings.

KSH involves more in theatre plays in earlier years and his invlovement in drama series (started being active 2017 onwards) and NJH started his career as a model and started his drama series/movies career since 2014. Pretty sure Dalmi and jipyeong will end up together. Dosan still has yet to find has actual dream. Its ridiculous for him to say that dalmi is his dream, a girl he just met, he doesnt know himself. Dosan loves dalmi in a needy kind of way because hes never had a girlfriend in his life. But Jipyeong actually loves Dalmi without needing to tell her, by supporting her, by watering the plant she gave him, little things like that.

The metaphor for the plant is so important. Dal Mi gifted that plant to Do San. Do San isn't sentimental like that. It was a gift to him but he left it behind. Never thought about it again. It wasn't anything to him. Meanwhile, Jipyeong cherishes it because it was from Dal Mi. He tried to get rid of it when he was called jealous to prove hes not. It was literally handed back to him. Meaning he can't get rid of his feelings like that. He tries to get rid of it again. Dal Mi intervenes and tells him that she's going to be there for him because she likes how nosy he is and will be nosy with him the same way while handing him the bag he needs to get rid of it. Either he can believe her and choose to cherish these feelings or get rid of it with the bag she handed him. He buys plant food and completely has been taking care of it since. IT'S HONESTLY SO BEAUTIFUL. They keep showing him taking care of the plant. He's taking care of it, he's cherishing it, he's letting his feeling grow.
Dal Mi and Jipyeong have all the best parallels and symbolism on the show and I feel like it the catch is... it all amounts to nothing if you don't act on it. Jipyeong has never made a move. His wall is all the way up. He's traumatized. He only lets Dal Mi's grandmother in. In my heart, he's the male lead. He's what if the male lead with the beautiful story and everything set up for him, the girl with the 15 year love towards him and he just never acts on his feelings. It's frustrating. That's how it feels. Frustrating! Jipyeong is a beautiful man and character because Kim Seon Ho is playing him.

I know they're not gonna end up together but can they at least spend a day together with just the two of them. The secret is now out in the open but they never got the chance to talk about the letters and reminisce the old times. ㅠㅠㅠ Dalmi always say what the letters mean to her but we never got to hear from Jipyeong. Sure, he did it for grandma at first but hey they were penpals for like a year, in the long run, pretty sure he grew attached to those letters too. He never threw them away and kept them in good condition after all these years.

He kept the letters so he definitely cherished their bond 15 years ago. It's so frustrating because they showed us that Dal Mi is curious about HJP. There are many instances where she confronted him because I think her intuition is telling her that he's hiding something from her. Then when she found out the truth about the letters, she just hated the idea that it's HJP because she's already into DS? It doesn't make sense! The actors in this drama are actually good but the writer obviously messed up.

I know since last year about this drama and the cast in it. From the beginning I thought the couple would be Nam Joo Hyuk with Suzy and Kim Seon Ho with Kang Hanna. I don't have any interest at the time since I didn't really interested with the synopsis. So I thought I'm not gonna watch it. But when I see the clip about Dalmi and Injae's family separate because of family matter and Injae keep talking about how beautiful it is to live with rich family and leaving their poor father, I start to get interested. The first episode got me fall in love at how amazing Dalmi's father struggling, how shining the little girl called Dalmi for her father, how angelic Dalmi's grandma, and how beautiful JiPyeong's letters. The story seems perfect.
I know the letters make it sound cliche and I'm not really interested with the fact. But when the real Dosan join the frame, I started think it's not that cliche anymore. Dosan and Dalmi mean to support each other. When I think about it, I was sure the main lead here mean to be in the friendship line since I couldn't get any romance feeling from them. I tend to be emotional when it comes to romance. And Dalmi with Dosan interaction maybe lovey dovey but I couldn't get any chemistry even after watching their kiss scene, all I see was a mere lust, and everything seems turn in a rush. Even if it is filmed beautifully with the best background and setting, I couldn't get the feeling. Also, everytime I see Dalmi's eyes when she is with Dosan, I could see how empty her eyes and her heart, being with someone that she can't recognise. If I'd be her I'll feel the same. I won't fail to recognise the one I love. The letters tell me everything. Even if I haven't meet the guy.
On the other side, everytime she's with JiPyeong, I could see both of them look at each other with deep emotion. Even long before Dalmi know the truth. What I think is, her heart start to recognise who her real love is. And she start to love JiPyeong the way he is.
The story continued till the moment Dalmi found out the truth. I love how Dalmi and JiPyeong stood across each other, I love how Dalmi's expression that full shock and disbeliefing, I love JiPyeong's sad emotion turned to be shock while looking at Dalmi. And when Dalmi found out about the truth, her expression become shocked even more than before, I could see her denial expression. On the other side, I could see JiPyeong's expression from shock turn to pained seeing Dalmi seem to deny him. I love his intuition about how he want her so bad to recognise him. Till this time I thought that's how their love processing.
In a week, I start to contemplating, which one Dalmi would choose. I know how lovely Dosan is, how caring he is. And how considerate of him to make noongil. But I imagine, even if someone giving me his world, all he has, if I don't love him, so I don't love him. I love someone with who he is, not what he gave me (Dosan's care. If I love him, I'll love him even if he's not that caring with me.) and not what he has (JiPyeong's wealth. If I love him, I'll love him even if he's poor and has many debt.). Love is love.
But the story didn't go the way I expected. I start to ask why they show me such deep emotion between Dalmi and JiPyeong if they want to terminate it. Why they goes with Dalmi and Dosan relationship when all I get is a mere friendship. Not one in a bit I could get any romantic tense between the two.
And I start to asking, so what's the point she waited till 15 years? If in the end she end up with some random guy with only a name of Nam Dosan. He is a nice guy I know. But if you don't love him, you just don't. Just like drama The King: Eternal Monarch. The male lead keep on finding his love through paralel world. Not even once he would turn to another girl even if it is herself from another paralel world. Heart never be wrong for choosing it's love. It turns out that JiPyeong isn't her first love. It's just the way she believes. Lol.
Everyone think that main lead didn't need to be rich and perfect, and Dosan is near with everyone character. I know. I also experience his insecurities. I'm at this stage of life. And I'm not judge him for his role as main lead. It's the story about how he and his friends, include Dalmi get to be success. It didn't have to be romance. But when everyone think he didn't has anything, he is not rich, he deserved Dalmi better than JiPyeong. Lol. What you call his lovely family and his loyal friends are? Also, I don't think JiPyeong's wealth is his perfection. It's a mere property in my eyes. Also, it's not like he wanted to be rich. But it's the way he fought for life, the way he protect his pride so that he doesn't have to depend on anyone else. Not more. He didn't has any friends, he didn't has family. All he did all this time is surviving. I'd be thankful for Dalmi's grandma' presense.
Well. It's not my story after all. I could just enjoy it. I keep on searching on Dalmi JiPyeong's bts at least. And find the fact that they didn't make it since knets mad of their bts with no male lead bts. Since that time they keep giving us all male lead bts and no second lead bts since he is just second lead. Lol. Hahaha. It's even not fair since the beginning.
It's so funny. Why bother make such deep chemistry if it's just meant to be terminated.
Again, it's not my story after all. I just mean to enjoy it. I decided to watch episode 11 proudly. It's a good drama after all. But when I watch the scene when JiPyeong lost himself all alone and Dosan has all his friends in his side. I start crying. It's not a fair game to begin with. And for the first time in my 20 years of life, I cried over jealousy. For a little beautiful scene when Dosan and Dalmi wake up in their old office. My tears didn't stop after the episode end. And I didn't expect I would cry when I didn't feel this painful when I see my crush hang out with his girlfriend.
Now, my only hope is JiPyeong being happy with grandma. I really love their chemistry. And they have the best scene in episode 12 from my pov. It's nice seeing him play go stop with Dalmi's family like it is his own too. I know the first lead will be happy together. So please just let him be. Don't let our favourite boy suffering anymore. That's enough.
I actually hope he could get any romance line with someone who is understand him the most. When everyone accused him for being harsh. When everyone doubting him. Other than grandma. But having grandma by his side till the end has be quite enough at least.
I know my opinion isn't the rightest one. There's so many hole. But for Dosan stan. Please no debating. I'm tired of it now. I don't know how I could watch any kdrama anymore without feeling any afraid of being disappointed. Good for you. You got your stand. Congrats.

I love all Dalmi and Jipyeong's scenes but this one will really be on the top of my favorites.
The way he held back his tears when Dalmi appreciated him is so touching and heart breaking at the same time. I know how it feels to be doubting yourself and having atleast one person who appreciates you is more than enough.
No matter how I've been disappointed with Dalmi lately because of her lack in curiosity of Jipyeong and the inconsistency of her personality (which is the writer's fault), I still love these small acts that make Jipyeong smile.
I know I've been praising Kim Seonho like in every scenes but really, he's acting is very detailed and on point. He amazes me everytime.

The character of Han Ji Pyeong suited Kim Seon Ho. If Seon Ho was given another character to play, I wonder if he will get the same kind of attention. But Seon Ho owned Han Ji Pyeong. He portrayed him so well and became a character that is so loved by many.
He will because he's a good actor, be it drama, comedy or even action. And his charismatic personality shines through even if he's portraying a not-so-likeable character who's hot-tempered and mean sometimes.
And it helps that he appears in a variety show because people get to see his adorkable side, proving he has many aspects to his personality that may be endearing to people.
He says he likes portraying comedic characters because probably it's closer to his personality, but he can do drama so well even if he's not the lead.

I like all their characters and they play it well. I just don’t like the attitude of the 3 musketeers towards HJP because they’re not even grateful towards his help at least somehow a little thankful but instead Do San is arrogant, insecure and feels threatened by him. Jipyeong or Jidal stans are now accepting the fate that they're not the endgame. Jipyeong is not really the typical 2nd lead that craves attention to the female lead. He's always distant but Dal Mi is always nosy and initiating these acts. I just want Jipyeong out of this love line because he already proved to us that he can make the storyline interesting without variables like the love triangle.

Dalmi should really end up with this good boy. It’s the writer’s fault that they did not develop Dosan’s character to match his, needless to say, the chemistry, the sparks between Han Jipyeong is amazing from the very start, unlike the one with Dosan, none at all.

You are too focused on everything Ji Pyeong does you’re being unfair to other characters they made Do San’s character like that because its close to reality you can easily relate to it and its refreshing that it’s not the typical rich guy and poor girl kind of drama. In this drama the main character is full of flaws in reality Do San Character are people who are lacking and insecure with their surrounding that’s the writer wants the viewer to understand. You guys telling Ji Pyeong deserves Dal Mi more than Do San is ridiculous why? Because Ji Pyeong always hesitating he missed so many chances and when he finally have the courage Dal Mi’s already in love with the real Nam Do San. This is a little similar to Reply 1988 if only Jung-Hwan confess earlier maybe he may end up with Deok Sun but he didn’t while Taek took the risk even if their friendship is on the line. Both Ji Pyeong and Jung-Hwan deserves them but Do San and Taek deserves them more because they weren’t afraid to show them there feelings.
@@adrianjamesfernando3518 I just hate dosan character, ungrateful to parents when he say he only has dalmi someone he met just for a few months, saying a girl is his dream, doing things irrationally or decides things based on a girl, violence, seeks sympathy, lack common sense, take advantage of lie or fake story to make that person fall for you because it is nice having a girl who likes you... I wish I can like dosan so that I can just accept him as main lead but it is just so hard. Dosan the character is a walking red flags. I wonder what the writer thinks when she write such a character for main lead, is she expecting people to like and romanticise his character or what. That is just a no.
At least nam joo hyuk and suzy behind the scene is cute and fun and shippable, I can watch their bts over and over again.

To compare Ji Pyeongs year of experience in the industry to an IT Company that just started for just 6 months is ridiculous they will make mistake because there are humans too. Do San only lie to Dal Mi was he isn’t the guy 15yrs ago but all the things he showed was true. Even Dal Mi is inlove with him regardless if isn’t the guy 15yrs ago. It isn’t Do San’s fault for one step ahead of Ji Pyeong who is always hesitating. You can’t accept Do San because he is full of flaws you guys want a perfect character in your eyes. KSH involves more in theatre plays in earlier years and his invlovement in drama series (started being active 2017 onwards) and NJH started his career as a model and started his drama series/movies career since 2014. Pretty sure Dalmi and jipyeong will end up together. Dosan still has yet to find has actual dream. Its ridiculous for him to say that dalmi is his dream, a girl he just met, he doesnt know himself. Dosan loves dalmi in a needy kind of way because hes never had a girlfriend in his life. But Jipyeong actually loves Dalmi without needing to tell her, by supporting her, by watering the plant she gave him, little things like that.

The only reason I watch this drama although the storyline really readable is my curiosity of what's gonna happen with jipyeong at the end. I just wanna make sure he is happy with his own happiness. Really. Writer have to stop make jipyeong have more expectation with dalmi, the end we know dalmi will be with dosan. Pls. see all his hardwork for being mentor but not being trusted by dosan and friends, all his hardwork for dalmi. Hurt for him.
