Accidents can reduce if single track are converted to double track as much as possible. But for that you made land acquisition harder.

As an ex railway employee. I can say with certainity that the maximum stress is taken by Junior Engineer (P Way) and Train Examiners and In charge who has to give fit certificate before any coach is ready to roll.

Rahul ji will solve the problem of loco pilots by reserving 75% loco pilot seats for aeroplane pilots. 20% for truck drivers and rest 5% for loco pilots who can actually drive the train and got the job through hard work and merit.
