Kenneth, I used to agree but the crime rate is not so fantastic and a blind eye may even be turned when it comes to reporting crimes against others. I know because I have personally experienced it. There's some very corrupt people here. Stay blessed and safe!! 💜💜💜
Yep corruption…. Look at the feed store guy that got murdered… by a cop, the feed store owner was married to the mayors sister… and the murder happened in the middle of a birthday party and no one saw nothin….and all of the guy who’s died blood samples dissapeared from
The hospital….and then that feed store got made into a big giant building that takes up two blocks… plenty of murdered here at one point the murder capital
You mentioned that the “ugly” is rainfall?! Dude, in San Antonio we’re going into our second year of worst drought in history! Rain is a plus! It’s why everything in Longview is green! Also, you mentioned the mosquitos and that if it snows the city shuts down….that’s literally everywhere in TEXAS, not just Longview!

Summer rainfall is a big plus in Texas. Rain is why I'd consider East Texas.
You forgot to talk about the Southside. Longview has a thriving gang and drug problem. And then there is Marshall Avenue which is has a bustling red light district.
How high is the water table there? I really want a basement. I have a basement now and these things are life savers in the summer.
Forgot to mention the methamphetamine epidemic in Longview. I mean, let's be fair, meth is everywhere, but in Longview and surrounding areas, seems to be a lot higher than most other areas.
Its everywhere, but I have heard Upshur County was a meth HQ in East Texas, I mean I see signs that read, "Meth Watch". :)

Longview is 120 miles East of Dallas and in Texas that is not two hours.

Why don't you tell people there's no jobs there's a high homeless population cuz they send every drug addict and drunk and piercing out of prison in East Texas straight to Longview shelters it has a high crime rate and there is traffic plenty of it
There are many jobs in Longview. More big companies are trying to come into East Texas everyday. People who can’t find work, well they don’t want it bad enough. Some people are not willing to do what’s required to earn the job they want, they just want it given to them. Homeless people are everywhere in the US. Crime too.

What they don't tell you about East Texas is that there is definitely something in the water.....because they have all become blind conservatives....They love Abbott no matter what he does!!! and they hate "them Liberals" with a blind passion. (Rush Limbaugh did that to them. He trashed dems everyday for decades on that AM station out of Gladewater ....oh yeah....KEES radio.....and east texans believed it all!!!! Longview is suffering under this conservative mindset. You can see from the video that there are several blighted areas....bad roads....dilapidated/vacant buildings. Its sad really.....
