Your releases of compositions on fortepiano are to be treasured. Your continued committment to releasing these works on period instruments is to be applauded. It's certainly how I wish to hear them. Congratulations to you and the inestimable Mr van Oort, a true artist. Keep up the brilliant work.
Einfach wunderbar!
Marvellous the sonority of the instrument and also the performance, full of energy and virtuosity! Many points in common with Beethoven' s Style but also with certain Clementi; in fact the second movement of the Sonata op 10 n 2 here presented has similarities with the Final of Clementi' s op 7 n 3, not only in the key. Beautiful choice, bravissimo to the interpreter.
Thanks Brilliant Classics for bringing to the spot light yet another excellent musician that did not reach the heights of Haydn, Mozart or Beethoven. His piano sonatas 1 and 2 included in this recording are nice music, agreeable to hear and highly playable. He had also a part in the development of the modern piano. The XVIII century was possibly the century of the music in Europe, when every bourgeois household contained music instruments and music was one of the principal activities.
Dussek belongs there with Schubert and Beethoven in the late classical trio but nerds always move mozart there. Mozart Clementi Haydn were from a generation before these 3 tbvh

Listen to op.10 no 2 mov2) It's really pre-Beethoven, isn't it? That is Beethoven could be inspired by that sonata, maybe.
🇹🇷😍🤗
