That is a Sick as bag!! I just got a new bike. I been riding my 2013 GT Force 1.0 LE and it finally met its end of Life. I actually had a 2011 before that and broke that frame. I'd been riding GT solid for 13 years. She got to the point where every ride was leading to a break fix event. She was a mullet 26 inch 2.3 rear and a 650b 2.4 up front and was a beast. Now she's wall art. I got the Mid life crisis bomber, the Specialized Enduro. lol no E-Bike yet, but man, I was tempted. I am 42. I am going to start an enduro team call Mid-Lyfe Enduro. Our motto will be "Oldman Strength" just kidding , but maybe... I do notice that a lot of guys my age are starting to ride enduro. or are transitioning to enduro for other disciplines.

Can the shoulder strap compartment accommodate a laptop? When you hold it like a duffle bag, does the bag sag considerably?
It could but the bottom padding isn’t very thick or supported so I’d recommend you not. The duffle doesn’t sag as long as you have your weight distributed evenly, stuff packed on the end compartments. But even then I haven’t noticed any major sagging.
Any idea if this qualifies as a carry on bag with a ff helmet in it?
If the bag is fully loaded it reaches 31” in length which is too long for over heads. But if you don’t fully pack the side pockets I’m sure you can get it in there.
Will size 12 mtn bike shoes fit in the shoe compartment?
For sure. I’m size 11 with room to spare. I’ve seen you can fit size 13 easily.
