I just beat this fight and I feel like I finally got gud. I reached Komaki with a minute and a half left and I beat him pretty easily. The hardest part was actually Tanimura's because his moveset is shit (for this kind of stuff at least) and Sugiuchi is a pain in the ass that likes to overstay his welcome.
Couple tips I have just getting this on PS4: 1. Heat actions are your friends. Stopping the clock to even do a little damage is worth it. You’re gonna wanna bank your time for Komaki if you aren’t a god with the tiger drop because he zooms like a bastard. 2. For Tanimura’s last fight, I found that if you stand close to the boss as he gets up from being knocked down, he will consistently punch right away which you can dodge and then do SQUARE x 5, TRIANGLE x 2 hopefully into the heat action. 3. For Komaki, I had a lot of heat from the guy before him and I landed a bounding throw on him into a ground pound heat action which took 2/3 of his health. So if you’re running low on time, Tiger drop the guy before a lot to bank heat
this has to be the hardest ultimate battle from what i've experienced at least i completed yakuza 0, kiwami and 5's ultimate battles but this is the most difficult one out of all of them, at least in my opinion
I disagree, it's pretty OK actually, yeah Sugiuchi is a pain in the ass and the timer sucks but I managed to beat it in my first try. Proving Grounds 8 from Yakuza 0 is the hardest (its pure RNG), took me 8 or 9 tries.
@@gld3n711 Yakuza 0's climax battle was pretty hard but nothing beats Yakuza 5's Melee battle 6 with Shinada. That is still the worst challange in the series.
have yet to try yakuza 3's ultimate battles but I've beaten this one handily by now after trial and error from what I've heard yakuza 3's ultimate battles are a massive pain in the ass but I'll see
Saejima vs. Kiryu is my sticking point, with Tanimura vs. Sugiuchi being the second - Kiryu because he builds to Tiger Drop too fast, and Sugiuchi because it feels as if it takes a long time to wear him down for some reason. It is the only trophy I have left for Yakuza 4.
Played on Ps4. You'll save a lot of time on Tanimura: 1st fight use slaps (square, triangle) on the enemies - preferably the katana guy coz getting him down will cause a QTE making the fight end quicker. 2nd fight use circle to damage them. Keep pressing circle - use heat on dude with highest health. 3rd fight - Use throws on Suguichi. I just kept throwing him around. Its better if you have a turbo controller. Use heat when hes on the ground. Dude didnt even scratch me lol. Saved so much time I had 4 minutes left after defeating Komaki. I also got lucky with tiger drops on MMA dude. 2nd and 3rd Kiryu enemies I also threw around then used heat when theyre on the ground. Goodluck folks
Sugiuchi and Ibrahimovic always fuck up my attempts Edit: finally did it,destroyed everyone except majima,who almost kills me and made me lost a lot of time,weird since he was super easy before. i realized you can kinda stunlock sugiuchi if you hit the square triangle attack just before he gets up after being knocked

I pretty much wasted too much time on Sugiuchi when I'm playing as Tanimura and I didn't have enough time to finish off Kiryu's part...

That's because this is the OG PS3 version. The remaster's increased framerate messes with the AI

Writing in 2019 Jan, this is the only remaining obstacle from Platinum. Ex-hard is ex-easy at the 3rd play-through.

i didn't expect komaki at the end and i had to run it back even if i had to go to bed already. thankfully i tiger dropped him twice and that was that.

First try, an advice for komaki, do 3x square et 2x triangle and just after do a tiger drop, in 20 seconds it’s finish 👍
