I love the percussive feel of muting for accents. It just sounds and feels more organic.

This was great, thank you! I never realized a lot of the accented rhythms I was hearing are all down strokes! That makes so much sense, and is MUCH easier, lol!😁💖 I sometimes use patterns with slurs or partial skipped beats as accents , not sure how to explain it, but it sounds good😉😁💖
