i miss when xavier was written like a good natured father figure fighting for mutantkind. remember when onslaught happened? i think xavier is heading to becoming that on his own.
0:58 I love how in the old x-men comics everything is generally bright and colourful and then you have Cyclops who's costume has some of the weirdest shading I have every seen.
The whole story is just idiotic to me. Professor X sends a small team of inexperienced kids to fight a monster, one of them being Cyclops' brother for no reason, and when they fail horribly he realizes he needs a full, experienced team. And instead of owning up to his screw up, he just mind wipes Cyclops and pretends the whole terrible event never happened. I know Charles isn't perfect, but he's not careless and stupid. And did we really need another Summers brother?
What your problem it just sound like nick picking to me. I like the fact that charles has a darker side. Everyone does and it you made big mistake and you coule just erase it from people mind. You have to say it tempting
+captain kalz bah, just say Omega level... saying "beyond" omega level, is just retarded -_- Marvels definition of Omega is "Limitless"... so adding "beyond" to it... is just redundant and idiotic. essentially the writer at the time, just wanted the character to sound extra special! (check out my video, top 10 mutants, goes into some detail) saying Beyond Omega is like saying beyond infinite... makes no sense.
+The Titan List Omega level is a power with potentially no limits, beyond omega level implies a character that is on par with the Celestials which is much, much stronger than that. For example, Iceman is omega level because he could potentially freeze the world but that is still not even close to as powerful as someone beyond omega like Franklin Richards who can control and warp reality. It's not a contradiction of terms but having limitless magnetism or limitless explosive power is completely useless and weak compared to someone who can drain the universe of all it's energy, it's a whole different scale.
Maxx Nieves the Marvel definition of Omega is Limitless Potenial. thus, those of that catagory, could potentially push themselves far beyond what they currently have. example, if Iceman wanted to... he could likely freeze the sun, or more. I suggest you watch my video on top 10 mutants. i go into some detail. by definition... Omega means limitless "potential" which in other words, these characters... if they really pushed themselves... they would have no limits. thus to say "beyond Omega" makes no sense whatsoever, since by definition, they are already as powerful as they can be, with having no limitations! the only actual difference between "omega" and "beyond omega" is how powerful they are without the need to push themselves. some characters which have no been labelled as "beyond omega" are implied as such due to their powers and achievements, IE: Legion, Hope, Jean (w/o PF) and Elixir. Legion has hundreds of Omega level powers, and thousands of others... Hope can mimic and amplify any mutant power, and Jean has demonstrated time and again that she can do the impossible (w/o PF) with her telepathy ei: pierce Juggs helm, control Hulk without Banners mind... for starters, and Elixir controls Life, Death and the body. so i say again... Beyond Omega is just the writers way of saying "these particular omega's are extra special!"
The Titan List Iceman fully pushing his power is still nothing by comparison to someone who can warp reality without limits. The difference is the nature of the power. He's omega cuz he could potentially freeze without limits, beyond omega has to be a power that is universal or multiversal in scale. You can't compare someone with limitless magnetism or limitless healing to someone who can rewrite existence or potentially absorb all usable energy from existence. That's the distinction. If omega is limitless potential in a power set, beyond omega is a power set that effects reality itself not just certain things within it.
Maxx Nieves your mixing power types with power levels here... which is where i think your confusing what i'm saying. i'm also stating that "beyond omega" is more or less indicating how powerful they are at base level, compared to someone like Iceman, who could end a solar system by freezing the sun. I've had discussions with people, where they are trying to define what "alpha" level really is... maybe it'll help get my power across here as well... Alpha is anything from block rocker (Havok) to world ender (Storm-marvel currently says is Potential omega), while Omega is anything from World ender (Iceman) to omni/mulitverse threat (MJJ, Legion, Hope, Jean, Franklin). there's a large difference... but even those labelled Omega, depending on their powers, can in-fact compete with those lablled "Beyond" Omega. i've said it before, and I'll say it again... i believe the "beyond" is indicating how powerful they are without pushing themselves.
Darwin has such a cool power. they honestly didnt need to kill him in xmen first class and if anything it wouldve been better to kill off that girl angel as she literally served no purpose and had lame powers. he can adapt to anything including pure energy yet he was killed off like nothing.
I can honestly say that that was a complete surprise I was wondering what happened to Darwin, in the recent years of the X-Men as well as where Vulcan was during the M-Day event. After hearing the story I can honestly say that the professor most likely has a lot of other dark worth hearing about.
Could you blame Professor Xavier though? Scott just witness a new form of hope build in front of him within a minute and the next minute it was brutally murdered which would've caused massive trauma and PTSD. This was all more for the benefit of Scott's mind if anything. Sure he was invading privacy, but isn't it sorta like your friend telling you that they're gonna kill themselves and told you to keep it a secret but you bring them help anyway? Sometimes people do what they think is best.
+SorryIBlackedOut It wasn't the Professor's choice to make and actions based on what might happen like that is a direct contradiction to what the X-men stand for. The mutants might become dangerous so thy want to register them and build the Sentinels. Plus, wouldn't you feel betrayed if the person who took you in when you were orphaned not only knew you had another living brother and hid it from you, but he erased the fact that him and 3 other people sacrificed themselves to save you? That's completely unacceptable and he had no right to keep that from him.
My argument isn't whether it was his decision to make or not, but whether could you truly blame him for having the best intentions in mind. Yes, his actions contradict everything he built, but everything he did was out of love for the children he was raising. If your son came home with memories of his brother and friends being brutally murdered before him and he was nothing but a shivering ball of a mess with almost zero hope of healing what would you do? Would you just leave him alone and let him remember such a thing? There's soldiers who've seen much more gruesome things in war and they would do anything to unsee it. Anything.
SorryIBlackedOut I get what you're saying but again, that's why the Sentinels were built. He may have meant well at the time and thought he could be preventing something but not only was it not his call, it ultimately caused Banshee's death and this horrible series of events with Vulcan. And that's why the X-men were a thing, they believed in not condemning someone as dangerous or too weak to handle themselves and their abilities. By doing that to Cyclops who has been there from the start it's like a christian finding out Jesus was a fraud, he believed in him so strongly and then the Prof was secretly doing these manipulations. It's the same reason he doesn't brainwash the world into accepting mutants, they should have free will over themselves but he took that away from Scott.
Professor X didn't do anything wrong though, that Krakoa was obviously a threat feeding off of the mutant that he captured, and he was trying to help scott more than anything erasing his mind of the memory of Vulcan....Although that wasn't the best idea on Professors part... he had the best intentions...
He did do a lot wrong.. He messed with their minds! Playing on their trust they had in him. It is not only a massive invasion of privacy but an alteration of a persons entire being.
The second team of mutants Prof.X had to help him were awesome!!!! I personally think they are better than the original xmen. A TIME TRAVLER, how do you not have a time travler on your main team!
Reading Giant Size X-Men number 1 in the 70s, when I was 7, was my introduction to mutant superheroes in comics. I loved that book, I carried it and issue 100, when it came out, around with me everywhere, for years. That is until during a family vacation, my 3 year old brother tossed them out the station-wagon's window on the freeway, and no way Dad was looping around to get them.
***** Still have the Crisis on Infinite Earths and the original Marvel Secret Wars. Along with some of my New Mutants and X-Factor. The rest you mentioned were lost to my cousin "borrowing" them and his house burning down, still have the smoke damaged issue 1 of TMNT though.
Wondered if you would ever do some videos about classic comics. Although this was more a mix of classic and newer comics. Any chance to do more videos about classic comics???
+leo larose Yeah he did. He entered and altered a students mind. A student that place so much trust into him that he considered him a father figure. While his intentions were good that doesn't excuse anything.
Kenpachi Ken I know what it said, this is just a differing of perceptions. You're looking at it as the end justifies the mean, I think the means have to justify the end.
OMG OMG OMG I watching this and shivering!!! From the part where profesor starts recruting... Somewhere between 1996-1999 I was elementry school and in Croatia, bigest national printing company, started to sell Marvel comics translated on croatian lenguage... That was when and why I started to like and love superheroes in general :D
I remember this story from my old comics. I like the direction they went with Xavier, so he wasn't such a goody two shoes. The story about the Xavier protocols, would be good too. That's where his ideals about mutants came off like Batman's in regards to the JLA.
+Senses Oh you know he just tried to do one mission like 3 times witch failed twice and just replaced the X men like nothing and let some of them die without letting them know what they are up against on the island
Well they knew a rescue mission but idk if prof.X Told them all what happened and what to expect prof.X never really changed his plan much the 3 times the mission was tried.
Professor Xavier made the right call. Let's say he let Scott remember Gabriel and still sent him to Krakoa to rescue the X-Men trapped there. A leader must act for the good of all and Scott may have tried to stop the X-Men's combined efforts to end the threat of Krakoa if it meant his brother would die. Charles Xavier isn't perfect but he knows his pupils as no one else can and he knew Scott would have divided loyalties if he knew the truth.
Man, X-men. "Hmm what can we talk about with the next X-men arc? Ah let's make a new evil mutant that you'll never see again! Wait no, even better, an over powered good mutant that you'll never see again. Yep."
Hey, can you do The Umbrella Academy (by Gerard Way and Gabriel Ba)? I used to follow the first few issues but then the comic book store near my place stopped ordering them. I would love to know the whole story and get to know the characters backgrounds too. Thanks! :)
So this is the storyline that robot chicken used in that x-men police academy skit. Prof X sends the mutants in and they die, then get goes through police academy themed actors and they die and he looks at the guy that killed them and goes "same time next week?"
Did House of X or Powers of X ever establish how Krakoa returned from being thrown into outer space and why it wasn’t pissed off at the X-men for throwing him out into space?
you either die a Hero or live long enough to see your self become a Villain. The best intentions are sometimes the worst once. I believe professor X did what he did to save his friends and family. Not to hurt them or anyone intentionally but unfortunately he did. He should of told them the truth of course but in doing so would he of still been seen as a Hero or As a Villain.
i miss when xavier was written like a good natured father figure fighting for mutantkind.
remember when onslaught happened? i think xavier is heading to becoming that on his own.
Karl George finally, someone have seen his true face
0:58 I love how in the old x-men comics everything is generally bright and colourful and then you have Cyclops who's costume has some of the weirdest shading I have every seen.

I know Charles isn't perfect, but he's not careless and stupid. And did we really need another Summers brother?
I think the Summers kids are worse. Rachel, Cable, X-Man, etc. Just let them all be from the same future or timeline
it would have worked without the whole Summers brother angle. Cyclops didn't even need to know about it.
What your problem it just sound like nick picking to me. I like the fact that charles has a darker side. Everyone does and it you made big mistake and you coule just erase it from people mind. You have to say it tempting
Yes the man who trapped all of Jean's psychic potential, erased Wolverine's mind made mistakes
Time for the Xmen story all of those origins have building to!
been waiting so long thank you so much benny
will you please do the origins of Jackie Estacado aka the darkness
can you do the story batman vs bane forever evil
I want more transformers and spider-man
+Comicstorian thia atory makes me hate Charles xavier
Vulcan is actually a mutant that is beyond omega level

"Leaving wolverine for dead" you mean "Leaving wolverine to nap"
The island didnt lose gravity, Lorna reversed the polarization of it so the earth was repelling it with simple magnetism. Silly benny.
Kierkegaard facts

one of my favorite comics of all time.
they tried to make professor-x like nick fury .. both very shady character's with a lot of secretes
holy shit! this story was awesome

+Lumiwolf Gaming You know what they say: "The road to hell is paved with good intentions."
+Lumiwolf Gaming Not really. This is something that I wouldn't forgive the Professor for doing too.
i'm really thankful that took my request on this
This is awesome I’m so happy i can see this I love Vulcan and deadly Genesis and war of kings it’s just amazing my favorite I would say

I personally read this one, and I think it was worth the time, I'm glad you made this video
Soooo good, i gots to know what happened to the other and where the story goes. Definitely one of the better X-men stories ever.
Wow i got here the first second, love your videos Benny, keep them up :) and happy new year everyone!!!
The second team of mutants Prof.X had to help him were awesome!!!! I personally think they are better than the original xmen. A TIME TRAVLER, how do you not have a time travler on your main team!
ya who dos not want a god dang time travel
+Batken pre 52 52 r
She wasn't a time traveler, she can just slow down time.
So what i would still have her
cus time travel.. for the love of god fuck time travel. This has been done to death and used an escape goat for every world ending event.
Yes...more X-Men!! Thanks Comicstorian!
2:54 AND HIS NAME IS JOHN CENA!!
Reading Giant Size X-Men number 1 in the 70s, when I was 7, was my introduction to mutant superheroes in comics. Wondered if you would ever do some videos about classic comics. Although this was more a mix of classic and newer comics. Any chance to do more videos about classic comics???
professor x didn't do much wrong tho
+leo larose Yeah he did. He entered and altered a students mind. A student that place so much trust into him that he considered him a father figure. While his intentions were good that doesn't excuse anything.
+Sterling Johnson he was only trying to protect him...but i guess he didn't over think about the consequences
Kenpachi Ken Again, good intentions. But, he erased the memory of the brother he just found
😳 just watch the damn video again
Kenpachi Ken I know what it said, this is just a differing of perceptions. You're looking at it as the end justifies the mean, I think the means have to justify the end.
Great channel man. Keep up the great work.
Never been this early for a video I'm so happy!
Wow this story is crazy awesome this all adds up to a lot of events happening
OMG OMG OMG I watching this and shivering!!! From the part where profesor starts recruting... Can you do a complete story of Spiderman and the X-men from 2015?
Was a great start to what ultimately ended up being a fairly lackluster X-Men run by Ed Brubaker.
Benny you're the man.
I like how both Summers brothers were leaders
That is an impressive beginning.
What the professor did doesnt sound that bad though
+Senses Oh you know he just tried to do one mission like 3 times witch failed twice and just replaced the X men like nothing and let some of them die without letting them know what they are up against on the island
Well the new team knew about the old team I presume
Well they knew a rescue mission but idk if prof.X Told them all what happened and what to expect prof.X never really changed his plan much the 3 times the mission was tried.
+christopher crafte Pretty sure he told the girl who looked after the other mutants.
Do a black bolt origin.
Yes please
Never heard of him. Nice name tho
+James White He's an Inhuman
+Immortal Turtle (Sharders) He pretty powerful to
Oswald Cobblepot A whisper can kill a man
How can't Petra, a geomorpher, defeat an island? Doesn't make sense at all.
yeah it makes no sense
You need to cover X-Men: Rise and Fall of the Shi'ar Empire, X-Men: Emperor Vulcan, and War of Kings.
If by chance you're doing retro X-men stories, do the "Siege Perilous" era of Uncanny X-men.
I... I gotta go rethink something
Darwin, just like almost every other mutant, wasn't done justice in the live action films.
I was always intrigued with Gabriel summers and Darwin I would like to hear more about them
WAIT! Wasn't Darwin in X-Men: First Class?!
Yes
wow.... just wow unbelievably
He is a bit more twisted than the 90's cartoon but I can also understand the guilt that he probably felt for placing children in harm the way he did.
nice vids, you got me into comics
This makes me wonder how powerful Scott's laser eye attack is or rather what is the most damage it has done.
My dude said he said something so important that he waited for the last minute to tell him
"I m Benny, ComicStorian"
Sounds likr
"I m Lenny,
MutantDestroyer"
Hey Comicstorian Can you do the New 52 The Flash I absolutely love him
I picked up all 6 issues of Deadly Genesis for £8.99 when my local comic shop was doing a clearance on old copies.
This shit is awesome I was looking for this for years thank Benny
Man, X-men. "Hmm what can we talk about with the next X-men arc? Ah let's make a new evil mutant that you'll never see again! Wait no, even better, an over powered good mutant that you'll never see again. Yep."
Well done!
Thanks that was a great story

Hey, can you do The Umbrella Academy (by Gerard Way and Gabriel Ba)?
I used to follow the first few issues but then the comic book store near my place stopped ordering them. I would love to know the whole story and get to know the characters backgrounds too. Thanks! :)
Please leads up to Rise and Fall of Shiar and latter War of the Kings. We need more people to be aware of the Cosmic Marvel
A comicstorian are you gonna do "Yesterday's X Men Volume 2"? FYI love your work
+cameron philio we're debating, we need to find time to put it in and we're gonan do black vortex first
+Comicstorian would you consider doing Battle of the Atom? that was a great story!
From this it shows a darker x men from all the cartoon.
Meelo the Great Yep
So this is the storyline that robot chicken used in that x-men police academy skit. Prof X sends the mutants in and they die, then get goes through police academy themed actors and they die and he looks at the guy that killed them and goes "same time next week?"
Nice story
This would be the best movie ever
Make a video about inferno saga.
2:01 Darwin the Evolving Boy? Reallly?!
Great Video as always but can anyone tell me which storyline should I read after house of M? I mean where does it continue. Thanks in advance everyone
Is there more videos with Darwin?
I'm so early! I love you!
now it makes sense in the xmen movie last stand why Scott went crazy when gene showed him something
does vulcan come back or is he still missing
Hey can u make the flash complete story
Please do Xmen legacy. It's so good!!!
please do THE DARKNESS comics
How long did Cyclops' team stay trapped on the island?
Its too bad that Darwin was killed off so early in X-men first class
Can you do a video about Darwin's origin??
Did House of X or Powers of X ever establish how Krakoa returned from being thrown into outer space and why it wasn’t pissed off at the X-men for throwing him out into space?
you either die a Hero or live long enough to see your self become a Villain. The best intentions are sometimes the worst once. I believe professor X did what he did to save his friends and family. Not to hurt them or anyone intentionally but unfortunately he did. He should of told them the truth of course but in doing so would he of still been seen as a Hero or As a Villain.
to bear that secret alone ... not that simple
that was insane
Mutant Mondays? Is that still a thing?
why no executioner;s song and fatal attractions yet?
do a deadpool vs thanos I really want to hear it =D
MORE NOW PLZ
