Tosin Abasi demos the Vise Grip Compressor with his Ibanez LACS 8 string with Seymour Duncan Sentient/Nazgul pickups. www.seymourduncan.com/pedals/v...
I never had an interest in compressors. Until I saw the clean note sustain at around 2:47. Now my interest is sparked. I'll have to check them out more.
Man this dudes always on 10. This is when your ability goes beyond being a great guitar player but a killer musician all around. I am a metal head but I will always be a musician first and foremost. But next to tosin I'm a mere mortal. Oh and this pedal is never leaving my board . everything is more consistent. Your softer picking dynamics still sound softer but in volume they are brought up to match your harder picking dynamics in volume. So dynamically and harmonically everything comes through in a more consistent more musical fashion. And. I've bypassed it trying to get an equally great sound and to my ears I can't achieve the quality of tone without it I can with it. The notes jump off the fretboard. This stays on all the time for me. SD really has my greatest appreciation for what this pedal has done for my tone and making my dynamics shine through in ways that just isn't there without.
I'm keen on trying this pedal out. I'm not short of sustain from my high gain rig but, with the even spread this pedal offers across various gain settings, it's definitely worth a try. Tosin is a great player too :)
It sounded good when he was using it with high gain, but it didn't show him stop playing, or play any spacial parts with the compressor and high gain. That's what I need to see. Is it noisy as all hell? I'm needing a compressor that doesn't get too rowdy with high gain. I realize that's impossible considering I refuse to use a noise gate, but all compressors react differently.
Guitar Whores Hey there, we got some more demos here which we'll post below, we always use low noise circuitry and design for transparency and as noisefree as possible.

Tosin seems like such a cool, down to earth person you could have a great conversation with

Is Tosin playing Kempers now or was that just Keith's Kemper?
ironz18 I believe he uses Axe Fx. Seeing as Keith works for Seymour Duncan, it was most likely his Kemper.
dude his thumb is weirding me out
Barracuda007 he's just double jointed
@@aleemsmith9507 he's an alien
hahahahahaha
