Na y did u divide by 3.14 I tot flare is divided by 6.28

3.14 is 180° flare I.e its half of a full circle of 360° and if u divide 6.28 by 2 you will have 3.14

The fabric is serving as one part of the lining. So this is what I did. My thread 0n top was white and my bobbin thread matched the colour of the fabric so after sewing the stitches were matching the net and fabric on either side.

Hard net doesn't make dress fuller. Same thing you did but replace the hard net with firm net.
