I have driven by this salon many times, and usually seen it packed full of guys getting their hair styled for the night. All the hair spray and hair blow dryers would not work for a video on those busy nights, except tonight I am here early. It wasn't so busy. So, I stopped in to get styled like a K-Pop superstar.
When I say hostess boy, don't take it literally. These are not underage boys, but rather men working nightlife. Nothing to get up in arms about.
This is the salon for Thai men to get their hair set for a night of partying or working in Pattaya. The guys will come here for 100 Thai Baht, and 10 minutes and the go to their party, karaoke singing jobs, hostess jobs, or to just plain look cool. Whatever look you want, boy band, superstar look, they can do it here.
Cost: 100 Thai Baht ($3 USD)
