So happy Salim sir asked her about the sheer number of hit songs Sunidhi has. People underestimate her too much. They associate her so strongly with Sheila, Kamli that they forget she also sang pass bulati hai, banthan chali, Sur, Bhumro, Dekh le etc. She has carried Bollywood on her shoulders for so long and even in these unfortunate times she has given us ae watan, lae dooba etc.

Sunidhi normalised the trend of female singers with husky voice and I'm glad for that. Earlier industry was dominated by high pitched sweet and thin voices mostly.

Sunidhi has recorded highest number of songs in 00s decade putting the likes of Alka Yagnik and Shreya Ghoshal behind her. That's why I call her revolutionist and the trendsetter.
Yes. Definitely Usha Uthup had her own identity. But she didn't make it to the top like Asha and Lata who were the most talked about singers at that time. Similarly, Jaspinder Narula was underrated and people only went gaga over Alka, Kavita, Anuradha kind of voices in 90s.
The biasing was still there when you see Alka Shreya Anuradha winning awards for some of the simplest popular songs like Kuch Kuch hota hai, Teri Ore, Hum Tum etc where as Sunidhi hasn't won/ nominated for Main Mast, Mehboob mere, Aa zara, Udi , Dhoom Machale, Ishq Sufiyana, Kamli etc.

I remember 10 years back , asha bhosle was very angry when sunidhis version of mehbooba came out in rgv ki aag , now her song is recreated by other singer , when a new water comes the old water has to flow away ,

But Mehbooba song was sung by RD. Burman originally I don't know why she became so angry it wasn't her song in the first place.
